Mountain View Family Dentistry and Orthodontics

With the transition from Dr Luco's office to Dr Marshall, renamed Mountain View Family Dentistry my husband had an issue with his dentures which were purchased through Dr Luco's office and when he called Dr Marshall's office to see about getting them repaired under warranty the office staff said they would have to investigate and get back with him, and it's been 2 weeks and he still has yet to receive a call back. He ended up finding another dentist office to repair his dentures, not a very professional way to start a new business with existing customers.
Needless to say we will not be returning to this office nor recommending them to anyone else either.

My oral health has had a noticable improvement since I have been going to Dr. Luco and Kathy, one of his Hygienists for my dental care~! Excellent, friendly staff, and first-class equipment. I can highly recommend them~!!

Dr Luco has been my dentist for some 10+ years now. He ALWAYS has a smile when he greets me, and very easy going, down to earth kinda guy. He has seen me (when i have an emergency), on the spur of the moment; I think his middle name is "Flexible" :) . The staff is great to work with, and this speaks volumes as for the Dentist' employees. Both Girls in the front office, Wendy and Belinda are courteous and very friendly in assisting with logistics, including but not limited to- future reservations, contacting of Endodontist specialists, billing, ..etc.

The staff is very professional, and always, and i mean... ALWAYS make me feel like i am the most important person when there.

I have always felt that a "relay race running team" is only as fast, as their slowest runner... With Luco Dental you have marathon runners on this team!

My wife had a cleaning and check-up at this location. Your first impressions of the building might lead you to believe the place is a little etch-uh-schetch, but don't be decived. The interior is what you would expect from a high quality dental care facility.

2nd time here got an appointment and a root cannal all same day. Absolutely great a shining example of how a business should be run...

Very nice staff. They worked to get me an earlier appointment based on what was happening with my teeth. The X-ray exam was very extensive. Meeting Dr Luco for the first time was a positive rather than the negative that I was sure I was going to hear.

Wisdom Tooth with Abscess, really painful with swollen jaw. The Mountain View team took care of me immediately. Arrived unannounced at 7:30 AM, root carnal and crown prep done by 9:15 AM. Now pain free and the swelling is going down. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

I had an amazing experience. The entire staff is friendly and welcoming. Dr. Marshall was very understanding with my situation and made me feel at ease... coming from a very nervous patient. Thank you Mountain View!

Since writing this review, Dr. Marshall wrote me a bunch of insulting remarks on Messenger. He impugned my education (I have 6 degrees including a Ph. D.), insulted me, and refused to take responsibility for his failed policies to protect his patients from Covid.
In addition, they billed me for charges that were paid for by my insurance. He also refused to give me a copy of my dental records. This is a sham operation and should be closed. Their disrespect for patients is an insult to the profession.

I was disappointed to see that Dr. Marshall's office doesn't follow best practices to protect the health of their patients. These precautions should have been followed, but weren't:
1. Taking the temperature of each patient upon arrival.
2. Asking patients if they'd been exposed, before coming to the office.
3. Requiring masks of all patients and all staff (the receptionist was not wearing a mask and a patient in the waiting area was not wearing a mask).
4. Asking all patients to use disinfectant or wash hands upon arrival.

While my hygienist seemed to do a good job and did follow precautions, best practices weren't observed in the waiting room. I wrote a similar note about best practices to Dr. Marshall, but did not receive a response.
Dr. Marshall finally responded on Messenger, but did not respond to my email. He was insulting and derogatory. He attacked my reputation and disrespectfully diminished and denigrated my suggestions. He asserted quite arrogantly that he was the professional and I am not (even though I have 6 degrees), therefore only his opinion matters. He was extremely negative about my suggestion that everyone in his office wear a mask in compliance with state guidelines.

Dr. Marshall is a worthy successor to Dr. Luco. No one wanted or expected this abrupt transition but my exposure to the doctor and his staff -- routine cleaning and a new crown -- has met my expectations. The new regime is working hard to maintain the standard of excellence set in Dr. Lucco's practice.

Dr Luco and staff are simply amazing! I’ve always received such a warm welcome every visit and absolute remarkable care! Christian is just the best hygienist I’ve ever come across! Thank you all for providing such great care! 😬✨
