Staff is very friendly and office is truly inviting. Everyone is very professional yet easy to talk to and work with. From someone who avoids the dentist at all costs, Dr. Merrill made it easy for me to want to continue coming back because he does the work right, with such care. The entire staff made me feel welcome and comfortable, and the fresh baked bread is fabulous!

I am afraid or terrified of dentist but when you go in , it's a feeling of being home. The smell of fresh bread baking makes you relax. The doggie was precious and most of all Jasmine made me feel so relaxed and even gave me a blanket to keep warm. Kelly explained payments followed by a delicious. home made bread. If I could give Dr. Merrill and their staff 10 stars out of 5 I would. Going through the process of getting my teeth redone with porcelain veneers has been a breeze with them. The end product is amazing!!! Natural looking to the point that friends only think I've had my teeth whitened. I can't express how it's changed my life and Natalie and Dr. Merrill were there every step of the way. Hands down the best in every aspect. Professional and helpful staff, flexible scheduling. I'll never go anyway else now for anything dental- they really do treat you like family!😊

I have been to some really good dentist practices, but this place is by far the very best. In fact, being a new resident to NC, my husband and I went to another dentist back in December, and had the worst experience. I called up Northstar to see if they would see us and get our X-rays as we didn't want to give the other place any more of our business. They were happy to. My husband got two fillings done there a couple days ago and I got my cleaning completed today. From the minute you walk in the door, the staff were kind and attentive, the waiting area was cozy and inviting. The hygienist Amber was amazing! Steve the therapy dog is so adorable and comforting (LOVE THAT DOG)! The cleaning was pretty much painless and Dr. Bunn was extremely thorough. I could tell he and Amber both care about the outcome of their patients' teeth. I was told I have no cavities and that my gums were healthy despite pregnancy/nursing hormones. They were prompt in getting a quote for a retainer/guard, and were kind every step of the way. Checking out was just as pleasant! They gave me a goody bag, set my new appointment, and even treated me to some pumpkin bread they had in the office. They definitely deserve 10 stars! I am happy to be a new customer to the Northstar Family!

I found Northstar Dentistry after another dentist did a horrible job on a crown that was over my implant. Not only did Dr. Merrill correct the problem with my crown, he went above and beyond. He took extra measures to ensure my new crown was done right. Dr. Merrill has a great bedside manner and took the time to explain how my problem crown was going to be corrected. Not only is Dr. Merrill amazing, his front desk staff are awesome as well as his dental assistants. Highly recommend this dentistry. If I could give them ten stars I would.

We recently moved to Dr. Merrill’s office and THE BEST decision we made! Dr. Merrill’s staff is truly caring and wants to genuinely assure patients that we had a great experience. Dr. Merill took the time to listen to my concerns and gave great advise. The staff and front staff is great, friendly and professional. We got a nice welcome mug as new patients. If you make an afternoon appointment, there is a sweet beverage surprise! Great coffee bar, wi-fi, tv with fish tank screen, beach screen (so calming) clean and pleasant restroom; reminds me of bed bath and beyond. The entire staff is very caring, Ashely, Katey and everybody do an awesome job! So glad we are with Dr. Merrill, genuine and humble! Love his Hawaiian shirts! Overall very relaxed ambience and 10 stars all the way!

Today 08/25/17 I had my second visit, first experience getting a service by Dr Merrill and Mrs Merrill. All I can say is what a great establishment, and professional dental care providers! I am beyond happy, and recommend anyone who is need of a regular dental hygienist or even just a service period, to take the time and visit Northstar Denistry for Adults. With a bunch of research, I decided to give it ago. I am far more then happy and will continue to visit regurlarly for my dental needs. The staff is welcoming, along with the dentist, all make you feel at home and comfortable. If you get nervous as I do, honestly don't worry your nervousness will leave at the door. I am a college professor near my full retirement. I enrolled in a new insurance plan early this year when I turned 65. I choose Dr. Merrill as my dentist after I have checked quite a few dentists online and been impressed by Dr. Merrill’s professional experience and family life and by the testimonials of his patients. This is my first visit to Dr. Merrill’s office. To make sure I remember the visit, they sent me two reminders in advance and even reminded me to take premedication due to my health situation. Once I arrived at the office, everything I saw and felt is exactly the same as what I read on the testimonials. The staff at the front desk is courteous, the office environment is welcoming and pleasant, hygienist Amber is worm and professional, and especially Dr. Merrill is friendly and detail-oriented. I received not only a regular tooth cleaning, but also a thorough exam. I am happy with the first visit and very likely I will stay with Dr. Merrill for a long time!
