my experience at this office has never been anything short of comforting, kind, pleasant, and consistent! I’ve never had to wait for lengthy periods in the lobby, they have always greeted me with a smile and listened to any concerns I’ve had and gone above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable during appointments. I am someone who gets anxiety when I go to the dentist, but here? there’s nothing to worry about! all of the staff including Dr. Merrill & his wife are so warm and kind, and the best thing is, they have a family dog, whose name is Steve & he’s also registered as a therapy pet, & yesterday he laid on me for my entire session and kept me so calm. it was the sweetest experience I’ve ever had in any office. I can’t stress enough how lucky I feel to be a patient here! if you’re thinking about going to this office, run, don’t walk! they’re incredible!

Best dental place I have ever been too. The office is gorgeous. The staff is super friendly. The hygienist Amber did a phenomenal job. Best cleaning I ever had. The dentist is awesome. Highly recommend !!!

I cracked a molar & a lot of laughs during my visit today!! Dr Merrill restored my malfunctioning molar quickly & painlessly —- such a “fun-tastic” team!

Plus I had VIP Service Care from Natalie Merrill who made me a custom mouthguard! Well… she told me I needed a mouth guard since I grind my teeth at night! #ouch! 😩
But …it’s the pleasant way she explains & consults with you …you know you are in good hands & paws 🐾too—with Northstar Steve (he’s a great comfort)

My husband and I joined the Northstar Dentistry Family a few years ago. We are so grateful for an entire team of wonderful dental professionals to not only care for our teeth, but make each experience comfortable and enjoyable. On one visit during a very cold winter morning, I was offered a warm fuzzy blanket to use during my visit.
Dr. Merrill brings an authentic, personable, and highly experienced presence to each visit. We have loved each and every hygienist who has cared for us. Scheduling and / or rescheduling appts has always been seamless as well.
Although Dr. Merrill brings so much joy to dentistry, Steve, often has the power to steal the show! Steve is the office therapy dog who brings smiles and peaceful moments to patients and staff. You may find this tiny pup in his "Security" shirt filling the hallways with laughter or he may be snuggled up on a patient's lap who requested his presence. It's safe to say that Steve is a spoiled dog, but his goodness overflows into spoiling the patients too!
We are so thankful to have Northstar in our neighborhood!

Just had my first visit to NorthStar dentistry and it was a great experience. Very professional office with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Friendly staff and an awesome bonus with Steve, a comfort and calming dog. For my anxiety with any dental care, having a comfort dog on my lap was a huge help along with the kindness of the staff and Dr. Merrill. I left there feeling that I chose the right office for my dental care. Would highly recommend to anyone.

From beginning to end the environment was very friendly and professional. I was greeted with warm welcomes and smiles. To top it off, a beautiful fluffy dog by the name of Steve approached me as if to say thanks for choosing Northstar Dentistry!
Ms. Marsha (dental hygienist) was gentle and she listened to all my dental anxieties with a smile. Best pain free cleaning EVER!

My experience with Dr. MERRILL began before NORTHSTAR DENTISTRY, when Dr.MERRILL serve at Carolina Healthcare. I was referred to Dr. MERRILL by a co-worker, and I never looked back! DR. MERRILL is kind, gentle, and always smiling he's concerned about your dental treatment plan. Dr. Merrill prioritizes your dental plan, with my issues Dr. MERRILL always worked it out for me.
Dr.BUNN another kind, caring, gentle dentist, who prioritizes your dental plan and for me he works it out. These two DENTIST are the BEST in the dental field, passionate dentist!
When you walk through the doors everyone greets you with genuine smiles ready to assist you. I call her my hygienist, Amber, your teeth never felt better after she cleans, Kelly, Receptionist knowledgeable on your financial needs, the assistant are Phenomenal and I can't forget Steve, the therapy dog that makes you smile. Natalie, makes you feel like your at home.
All your dental need are meet and then some, may I share you also receive snacks, water, chocolate, coffee and even baked bread. I'm telling you this is the best Dental office I've encountered.

Everyone at the office made me feel so comfortable. Dr. Bunn was awesome and always made sure to stop to make sure I was ok during my treatment. The office is so inviting and really makes a potentially unpleasant experience (for me) and turns it into something I look forward to. Oh they also baked a delicious bread and when I asked what smelled so good they gave me the entire loaf! Thanks to the entire team!
