Ten years ago I was in a traumatic car accident. I was hit while walking and I landed on my face. The impact from the pavement killed my teeth. One tooth was broken off and replaced with a crown of poor quality. Some of my teeth were crooked and stained. I had a calcium deposit on my front tooth. The list goes on. Needless to say, I didn't like smiling and I was very self conscience. I met Dr. Merrill and Natalie by referral of Dr. Wells. They immediately made me feel at home with their warmth and compassion. Without them and their awesome team I would still be embarrassed to smile. I now have a new found confidence and feeling of self worth to go along with my bright, big beautiful smile. Not only due to the excellent dental work but because of their kind words, positivity and encouragement. I will never go to another dentist. I absolutely love the Merrill's and their team!

I recently had the privilege of using Steve, Northstar’s newest member- a therapy dog for my cleaning. I can’t tell you what a difference it made in my experience. I’ve always been very happy with the high quality of professionalism here, but to have ALL my anxiety relieved was over the top! Holding a sweet puppy is the best!!

I had to immediately take care of extensive work including root canals and crowns and they made sure I experienced no pain during and after the procedures, followed up with me afterwards, referred great specialists when needed and provided me with a number I could call anytime should there be any issues... even weekends!! I'm so pleased I've found a group that is professional, worked seemlessly with my insurance, and it was obvious they are knowledgeable and know they're stuff!
Additionally, I lost my mother to cancer just at about the same time my wisdom teeth required removal as well some other extensive work. This was a difficult time and let's face it no one really looks forward to going to the dentist even in the best of times. But Dr. Bunn, Katey and the office staff were kind, compassionate and so considerate.
I have found my new dentist and can't recommend the team highly enough!

Dr. Merrill is a true genius when it comes to restorative dentistry. My Mother, who is 90 years old, had tooth decay and two crowns that needed replacing. She had gone to another dentist in Charlotte and after 5 visits, hours of painful time in the chair and three tries at taking impressions, was told that the decay couldn't be removed and only a temporary tooth was possible. So, at her wits end, we decided to make an appointment with Dr. Merrill, who came highly recommended by her Oral Surgeon in Charlotte. So, we drove an hour for the Consult and after x-rays and a thorough examination Dr. Merrill laid out his plan of action to remove decay, build up the core on two teeth, replace existing crowns and make a new partial plate. My Mother was extremely anxious about the plan and thought she was going to experience a lot of pain & discomfort. Nothing could be further away from the actual experience. Although the doctor had set aside 2 hours for this visit, my Mom emerged with a big smile, temporary crowns, decay free, and with impressions finished in just over an hour. I can unequivocally recommend Dr. Merrill, his wife & Dental Assistant, Natalie and the talented & empathetic staff at NORTHSTAR Dentistry!

After a couple of terrible dentists, Dr Merrill and his staff have considerably lessened my deep cynicism towards the dental profession. Dr Merrill is kind, patient, sincere and competent and I'm very grateful I was recommended him.

Absolutely amazing! I have never had a good experience with dentists but Dr. Bunn and his staff completely changed that. I felt so relaxed and comfortable. They have made me want to smile again!

Absolutely the best! Had a root canal without any pain during or after, had no idea is even possible:). Also had metal fillings changed and cannot believe how good my teeth look...Dr. Merrill and his team are amazing!!!

This is by far the best dental experience I’ve ever had in my adult life. From the greeting when I entered the door, to Amber taking great care of me, to the great care by Dr. Bunn, to the sweet time spent with Steve the therapy dog - everything I encountered was professional, top notch, and amazing. Everything! Dr. Merrill's is great and so knowledgeable. I totally trust him and feel very confident he only wants whats best for me and my dental health. He also has friendly people working with him.

I HATED going to the dentist. I needed to get back on track with my cleaning so tried them out. They are wonderful. As soon as I was greeted made me feel very comfortable. Thank you North Star Dentistry. Thanks to you guys I’ll be back every 6 months:)
