I went to the Northside Family Dentist office today for a first time x- ray and cleaning. The pre appointment forms were sent to me via text so that was really easy.I got there at 7am for my appointment in which they were right on time. Natasha did my x-ray and cleaning . I have never had anyone ever do such a gentle cleaning on my teeth. Awesome attitude in the office! I would give 100 stars if I could. Thank you all for a great job!!!

Let me start my saying that going to the dentist is not the most loved place to go but after my first visit at Northside family dentistry I have never felt so comfortable. The office is clean, the staff are so accommodating and friendly . The equipment is top notch. Dr. Shanks hands down is the most gentle dentist and takes his time to go over all your treatment needs. Oh and let me tell you about my assistant that took the best care of me.... Courtney! Everyone needs a person to take care of them like this girl Courtney took care of me. She was amazing! I’m definitely requesting her every time I can. She introduced herself when she brought me back to the room I would be in, she took my X-rays, made sure everything was in order for when Dr. Shanks came in to do my exam, Offered me water. I have never had an experience where someone paid so much attention to detail. Courtney really made my visit the best experience.

I went to Northside after having a negative experience with my past dentist and since then have avoided dental treatment. I was very self conscious and nervous about seeing a dentist at all again, but immediately after meeting the dental assistant I felt relaxed and like I was being listened to and treated with dignity. Dr. Shanks was just the same — calming and reassuring and patient. I left feeling like my concerns had been heard and taken seriously, and that I was definitely in the right hands. I highly recommend this dentistry to anyone and everyone, but especially with those with dental anxiety or those with other health conditions that affect that mouth. Excited to keep going!

I had some extensive work done and just want to say what a pleasure it was to deal with the entire staff at Northside. Heidi and Christina took great care to let me know step by step what they were doing and what to expect. Dr. Shanks is very detailed and will make certain that everything is done to a very high standard. For example, he was not happy with a crown that was created and had me back in to replace this crown to ensure a proper fit. Quality Service, Friendly Staff. So glad I have moved to Northside Family Dentistry.

I have a horrible fear of the dentist and have had bad experiences, until today. The staff and Dr. Shanks were welcoming, kind, compassionate, understanding, and took their time explaining everything to me. They answered all of my questions, discussed all of my options with me, and did not pressure me to choose a certain procedure over another; I made the choice I felt was best for myself and they supported that (huge first for me with a dentist)! I am honestly looking forward to going back to start my procedures. I absolutely recommend Dr. Shanks and his staff, very lucky to have found them.
