We moved to Crossville two years ago and needed to find quality dental care which was equal to our dentist in Indiana. Northside Family Dentistry far surpassed our expectations and made our visit one of the best experiences I have ever had with a dental office. The care was outstanding, the staff were all extremely helpful and understanding and the work performed was far above what I was used to. They have the latest equipment and are so understanding of any fears people have of dental procedures that you are completely at ease when being cared for. I can only say that if anyone is looking for a dentist that really cares for you and treats you like family, look no farther, you found him.

First of all I have to say I was recommended to Dr. Shanks from my son-in-law at which I give many thanks to. I am amazed at the proficiency and knowledge of the staff of this office. I feel Dr. Shanks would appreciate this gesture before applauding him on the most comfortable procedure I have experienced in a dental office. I will share that I had dental implants and crowns set from long ago procedures that needed replaced. . This was a very comfortable procedure , at which, I would have never thought could “be a comfortable” possibility. Kind of makes you look forward to seeing your dentist 😊. I could not say enough more positive about Dr. Shanks to suggest you seek him as your primary dentist.

Instantly impressed by the office, and the staff was very courteous. Didn't wait long to be seen. Comprehensive x rays, nothing missed. They talked everything over with me and spent time unlike many. I would recommend.

Northside dentistry is amazing! I've previously went to another place in town and well.. they were not up to par. I'm sooo glad I switched over. Everyone I saw was great but Heidi went above and beyond! I'll definitely be switching my daughter over as well

I had 2 broken crowns and didn’t have a dentist here since I had moved to Crossville, TN. I found this dentist on google and was.very pleased! They replaced both crowns without trying to talk me into getting a bunch of other work done. All of the staff and the dentist were very kind, professional and knowledgeable. I felt like family there! Thank you so much for helping me!!

Update... May 13, 2019
Today once again, against my dental insurance companies advice, I returned to the excellent care of Dr. Johnny and Crew. Most notably Micah. My retired military insurance isn't entirely accepted by this dentist, so I asked him to accept it, or at least consider it. How many veterans like me are being turned away from Great Care based on money decisions? I know, we're not rich, but dental health isn't something to fool around with either. Micah, my RDH, Took such great care to not only clean my teeth, (yes, that's Pleural...) but, she also educated me on being a better self advocate in my own health process. I've got some heart issues that could be exacerbated by poor dental hygiene.
Everyone there treats us like family. Try them, you'll LOVE them too.
Dentistry is nothing new to me. Excellent dentistry is no exception. The last place we went to in town was brutal! Not only was the dentist crabby to his employees, but miserably cruel to his patients. Not so with Dr. JOHNNY SHANKS! He and his hand picked staff welcome you into a totally different environment. Lauren is the hygienist that saw my wife. She's been with Dr. Shanks ever since she earned that title! Krista at the front desk made you feel so welcome, it seemed that you were in a health spa. They took command of every detail, so we didn't have to, especially with the insurance coverage. We walked out without paying a cent in the office. The technology is a must to mention as well. Each procedure was crafted so well with that new technology to insure that there was no pain! I told my super hygienist Diana that I never even curled up my toes! That's a sure sign of being pain free for me. Why take it from me? GO, see for yourself. You'll be glad you did.

I had to have a tooth extracted but I didn't want to go back to the place I had been before. I remembered hearing about this office from a radio commercial. What a wonderful experience even having a tooth pulled! My husband and I will now go here for all our dental needs. Everyone at this office was compassionate and understanding and explained all my options to me. I highly recommend this office! Love, love, love them!
