Familia dental is amazing. Got my wisdom tooth removed and they got half of it out and found that the root is fused to the bone so they refunded the money that was paid in full and referred me to a oral surgeon and the doctor called me on his personal phone on his day off to see if I was doing ok and if I was in any pain. So amazing that he cared enough to call and check on me. I will tell everyone about this place

Went in for a root canal on tooth #27. I was fully supported and was given attention the way it should be. They were fast and was in and out within 2 hours. The prices are reasonable unlike most local dentists. I recommend.

Our DH, Jasmine, was AMAZING!!! Dr. Kona was gentle and precise. Very fast service!

My brackets always broke, seemed always upset with me, and told me I needed to find another dentist. Sorry wrong practitioner, meant the one in 42nd!!!! Never even been to this one on 8th!

The wait time was not long at all. However, nothing was done to my 2 boys or myself. My kids were referred elsewhere, for having cavities. I went in for a cleaning, covered 100% by employer insurance, and was unable to get the work done. I was given a list of work needed to be done, and told I cannot get a cleaning until I have all that done. As for my kids, they were refered because 1. They are too impatient 2. He wont administer anethsia or anything to numb. My insurance was charged for the visit, and at the end I was handed a paper with a list of dentist to go to. Waste of my time.

I went here in immense pain to find out I had 2 impacted wisdom teeth that were infected. I asked for antibiotics because I know it can be really dangerous if that infection ends up going into my bloodstream and the dentist outright refused to prescribe me any claiming that if I used them now then they wouldn't work when I had the surgery which didn't make sense because you have to clear up any infection before you can have surgery on them. It was extremely frustrating and even after I told him I wouldn't be able to afford the surgery for at least a month or two he just told me to use Tylenol. I went to a Dr. Later who told me that was completely insane and prescribed me antibiotics. Very frustrating and disheartening, the infection was bad enough that I had trouble eating anything because it hurt to open my mouth, turn my head or even talk. If I could I would give this place zero stars. Stay away from familia dental guys

It's no wonder these incompetent people have a rate of 3.0 on their reviews. So, I recently moved here from El Paso and needed a dentist to continue treatment on my braces, which I had gotten in Mexico. I called the office back in May to continue treatment and they asked for files and all that other stuff they request. I notified them that I was coming from El Paso but braces were obtained in Mexico and it would be hard to obtain my records. They said "fine, we will just have to start over again". They gave me an appointment and I was seen by a dentist (Xray, checkup, etc). When I went to the appointment she did the check and told me they could do everything and they would schedule an appointment to get everything started. Nowhere in there did the dentist tell me I needed any type of other clearance from a dentist. Fast forward to today, they call me at 8:40, 5 hours prior to my appointment, and leave a message telling me that they have not received a cleaning and cavity clearance. I tried calling back, all to be told by the call center rep that they aren't answering and to call again. I do, and I get the same response. Finally, I have to get firm with the rep and wa-la, they answer. Whoever answered at Familia Dental was not only rude and idiotic, but she was sitting there trying to tell me that trhe dentist tells everyone that they needed a cleaning and cavity clearance before being seen. So I tell the lady "no, she never mentioned anything about it otherwise I would have gone and gotten one and you all have now made me wait a month all to tell me this now?". I had to cancel my appointment and the staff didn't seem to give a damn about it. I have to admit that I got into a screaming match with the receptionist because she was sitting there calling me a flat out liar and tries to talk over me while I was explaining the situation. I know what the dentist said and never did she mention the clearance. I would not recommend them to anyone. Once you are seen, getting a hold of them is almost impossible too, the staff is unprofessional, and it was a terrible experience all around. A whole month wasted on my braces. Their advertisement of 80 dollars a month for braces is also a lie. I was going to end up paying 220.00 a month plus a deposit the first time. They are absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. I will never visit them again. If rather let my teeth for than pay my hard earned money on a company that disregards their patients the way they did.
