Hawaii Family Dental - Mililani Town Center

Difficult to rate. The dental hygienist is one of the best I have ever experienced. I appreciated the thorough cleaning. Dr. Hall, however, was rudely condescending and unprompted he repeated the phrase, "I am not saying you don't feel what you feel", when presented with possible aftereffects of the practices previous treatment. His bedside manner was assuming and presumably prejudiced. Additionally, Dr. Hall recommended a referral without mentioning for what I was being referred. I would beware trusting this practice with your business and dental care.

Everything about this location is AMAZING! I love the staff & the doctors! Even transferred my daughter here, best decision ever! The wait is never long. Cleanliness is on point! Always friendly! They are just fantastic! I’ve been going here for about 8 years. My daughter started seeing Dr. Westphal, I can’t tell you how wonderful he is! They do not strap children down which was my daughter’s first procedure without being strapped down (since her previous pediatric dentist always did it) & she did great here! With the help of Dr. Westphal being quick & agile. He also comforted her the entire time. I really appreciated that he gave me ALL the options to choose from rather than telling me what he has to do. Highly recommend! Nani is my hygienist & she’s gentle & is the sweetest! I now see Dr. Hall & he is also great, I had recently switched to him because my Dr was not in during my visit & I enjoyed him so well that I asked to be switched. Lol! Dr. Tom was my ortho for 7 years till he retired & I now see Dr. Shin. He is very thorough, I’ve had my permanent retainers on for a while with no problems. Lastly to Skye, Quadra & to the other women, thank you for always making my visit so pleasant :) See you all soon!

Haven't been to the dentist for over 20 years. I had to get a root canal and a wisdom tooth extracted on the same side one day apart. The dentist that performed each of these were very good at keeping the pain down to a minimum. I actually didn't feel anything at all. I have a few more appointments to get the rest of my teeth done. I find that all of the dentist and hygienist there are top notch and I am going to recommend them to all my Family and Friends.

Ridiculous operation! Appointment was scheduled for a Tuesday, called Friday afternoon to cancel appointment, no answer. Called again early Saturday morning to cancel appointment, no one answered so left a message stating I need to cancel. They called me back on Monday morning and I was told that it was a broken appointment due to not notifying them 48 hours in advance. Should maybe say 48 business hours. This is not the only situation that we had with this company. We're done with these guys! Looking for new dentist that is more accommodating to their patients. Bad business practices!

Cheryl did my cleaning and she made sure I was comfortable before she started. My neck was sore so she gave me a pillow for my neck amd it helped a lot. Thank you for making my experience great. I normally don't like the dentist.

Let me be clear, I loathe going to the dentist. If I have to have a filling I freak out. My experience at the Mililani Hawaii Family Dental has been exceptional! I have had a couple of fillings with zero discomfort which went so quickly. My fear of the dentist has subsided due to the excellent care from the entire staff.

Quality care with lots of patient empathy. I am treated so well that I actually look forward to appointments here. It's as if the professionals that work at HFD are trained to make patients feel comfortable and at ease as a top priority.

Hygienist was fine, but wasn't too impressed with the dentist. When the dentist came to conduct his exam, a random lady appeared on the side and started looking in my mouth. I eventually put two and two together she was likely a student or resident dentist, but there was no introduction as to who this random lady was and why she was crouched over looking in my mouth. I've always been taught in patient care, you introduce yourself and if you have a student with you, introduce them as well.

Apparently I had a cracked tooth because they discussed it and possible treatment options with each other (not with me) and walked off without giving me an opportunity to ask any questions about the crack or possible treatment options I heard them discuss. He just told the hygienist I needed a mouth guard, but some of what I heard them discuss left me concerned. Didn't ask me what I wanted to do, what I thought about it, did I have any concerns, etc. I still don't know if it's a deep crack, big crack, small crack, what happens next if mouth guard doesn't work, etc. Maybe he was behind or busy that day, but I left with more questions than answers.

My experience with the dental office has been horrible and has caused me much pain and suffering. The main problem is that they have been so resistant to correct the problems that they have caused. They are an office that has the goal of making money and not your health as a concern. I cannot leave zero stars and post this review so therefore I have to review them with one star.

I am a forty-three-year-old parent. I have been a patient of Hawaii dental service for at least 10 years. I appreciate their professionalism and their services. They are upfront and transparent about billing. And I'm also greeted with a smile every time. And when there is an issue, like when my son had an allergic reaction, they responded with care and coordination. Thank you Hawaii Dental Services!
