Hawaii Family Dental - Mililani Town Center

The staff are very nice and helpful but it is hard to make an appointment for my keiki when there is only one dentist available for keiki. And the only days available are Tuesdays and one Thursday. That makes it very hard to schedule appointment.

WOW! They would not let me go in for a regular cleaning because they said I needed a deep cleaning first. This would have not been a problem except for the fact that my insurance would not cover it (because I had one almost a year ago covered). When I said that all I wanted was a regular cleaning, they refused me and said I would have to pay full price for the deep clean first or I could not get my regular cleaning! And I am not the first person they tried this on. On two separate occasions when I was waiting in the waiting area, I heard them telling patience this same BS. At the time I could not believe they were forcing them to pay without insurance coverage just so they could get their regular cleaning! I immediately called another Dentist office and was told this was not right. So I canceled all of my families up coming appointments and changed Dentist. If you do go with this Dentistry, BE VERY CAUTIOUS! I would NEVER recommend them. But if you like long waits and do not mind being forced to pay out of pocket, then this might just be the one for you!

I've been going to Hawaii Family Dental for years and the service is always excellent. Couldn't ask for a better group of Doctors, hygienist and support staff.

I went in for an extraction of a tooth. I've had teeth extracted in the past and the pain I felt lasted a few days with an oral surgeon. This dentist extracts my tooth and two weeks later, I'm still having pain and swelling. I don't know what the dentist did but I have never felt this amount of pain for so long before. I hope others have better extractions.

Very friendly and professional. They don't keep you waiting.

Everyone at Hawaii Family Dentel is extremely nice and professional. They take every precaution for Covid. Going to the dentist is less stressful when you come here.

Called 23 hours and 48 minutes before appointment and being charged $100 for a missed appointment? I recall seeing a 24 hour or less penalty for missing an appointment so... well played. Cancelled the second appointment over 24 hours and was told I'm being charged ANOTHER $100 for the second missed appointment even though it was over 24 hours?!?! Sorry but I'll take my business elsewhere. At least they were cheerful when they told me they were screwing me. Not the best way to introduce a new customer to their ohana.

We been coming to this location despite it being out of our way for quite awhile now. Never missed an appt never been late before. A day before our appt my son was sick I called to reschedule they told me I have to call 5 days in advance and they charged me a $100 “no show fee”. Then I Resched the appt for another day and called 20 mins ahead due to major road work saying we’d be 5-10 mins late. They said they couldn’t see us and need to reschedule.
The receptionists here are extremely rude and lack customer service. We will be changing dentist at this point.
FYI We never signed a paper agreeing or was ever notified of any type of cancellation/late fee policies prior to this incident.

The staff always goes above and beyond expectations to transform my special needs child's appointments from a very traumatic experience for her to a pleasant one. The level of patience and accommodation they display is outstanding.

For my dental cleaning appointments, I always request Cheryl, Dental Hygienist. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. I am very comfortable with her.
