Where do I start.....I was a new patient just yesterday and when I tell you this is the place to go for all you dental care needs you better book an appointment. It's located at 6075 Cleveland Circle in Merrillville IN 46410 straight down 61st Ave next to the Citgo gas station. Every one of the staff members are polite, seem to be good at their job and happy to serve. The receptionist was more than welcoming she even knew the regulars by name. The dentist himself works untirelessly he greeted me even before he saw me the office of clean. Overall great experience welcoming environment good services. The pricing is a whole other topic lol, depending on your insurance too. I'll deff be back and I'm bringing my son.

I was very impressed with the staff at Family Dental Care. Wendy, my dental assistant was adorable! She took very good care of me, and even called to check on me a few hours after my procedure. My dentist was vibrant and pleasant, he made the experience easy. My son and I both had appointments and he was impressed too 😊 we've found our new dental home!

I’m new to the Indiana area and when I tell you this was the most awful dentist office I have been too. They are extremely slow but the staff were nice…I will give them that. However, the dentist, the Dr. Told me that I had at least 10 cavities in my mouth!!! I have never in my life had that many at one time ever! His approach was money money money! I inquired about braces. First look into my mouth he said, “you have to get your wisdom teeth out! No explanation as to why. No questions asked if they were giving me problems at all. That was the first visit. Second visit went get 2 fillings done. That’s when he told me I had even more cavities. So long story short I went and got an second opinion from another dentist office. And low and behold the report came back way different then the other. I do not have 10 cavities and guess what. The fillings that the other doc did was not completed they didn’t get all of the cavity out of one tooth. Which means I will probably have to get it redone! My experience at your office was not pleasant and I will not be going back. Very disappointing!

I love how thorough they all are, very organized, patient (I'm fearful of the Dentist) and positive vibes. Dr. Sims put me at ease while having an extraction, he humms and sing all while asking me was I okay or did I feel anything. I got a follow-up call the same day of my procedure to make sure I was ok or if I had any questions, you don't hear of that.

My dental experience has been wonderful at Dr. Sims dental clinic on 6075 Cleveland Circle Merrillville! When I walk in the clinic I am greeted by staff and checked in by a staff of my arrival inside. The inside of the clinic has a homely feeling with music playing in the background coming from a tv that also shows dental facts slide show and magazines displayed on their table for me to grab and read as I sit and wait on the couch. Water bottle can be given when I asked as I wait.
Whoever is my dental hygienist is very understanding with my comfort needs. As a person who feels antsy and nervous laying for minutes on the dental chair as my mouth is being cleaned or treated, the dental hygienist will check on me to make sure I am doing ok and if I need a bit of breather. The dental hygienist will accommodate to my comfort needs when I tell that dental hygienist what makes me uncomfortable.
Dr. Sims is a fantastic dentist who will throughly assess the inside of my mouth for any defects. The practice does very well with scheduling and going through with any financial pay with me. The staff are very welcoming and treat patients such as me as a guest to their home.
Definitely a choice for a dental clinic for a better smile.

I currently live in NYC, but I refuse to change dentists because of my experience at Family Dental Care. Dr.Sim and the entire staff are incredibly welcoming and do their job really well. The care and attention they provide to my dental health has made all the difference, and for the first time, I finally feel excited to go to the dentist. Even though I live in NYC, I now plan my trips back to see my family around my next cleaning appointment!
