I am a person who genuinely fears going to the dentist. When my former dentist retired, I searched for a replacement. I was referred to this office by the husband of one of the dentists.
I was genuinely impressed at how I was treated and they listened to my fears and responded positively.
But without notice, after my second visit, I was handed off to another dentist. I assumed this was due to the original dentist giving birth. However upon her return, I was apparently reassigned to another dentist, although I had not been given any explanations. Fearing my situation was too advanced I suspected the prior dentist felt inadequately prepared to care for me.
I have come to really enjoy Dr. Todd. Although he is fairly short on words, he works swiftly and gets me on my way. And he never hurts me. So I deeply appreciate this as I freely admit to being a baby in this scenario.
When I asked why I was transferred, I was still not given any reasonable answer and I’m fact I was told I could transfer back. I declined as I have come to feel comfortable in his care. But having changes explained is welcomed to someone who is terrified at being in their office.
The assistant Eric is also a wonderful young lad who does great work and is a good conversationalist so I appreciate him.
Recently I had two appointments delayed or canceled however they notify me while I am driving the thirty minutes and my phone never rings. Whatever system they use to call people on, it never rings. The messages just pop up without any notifications.
In fact yesterday I asked the office manager to call my phone as I stood next to her and mysteriously her computer locked up. But as I drove away from another appointment that was canceled due to not receiving something from the lab, they called me twice. Again had I not been looking at my phone, I would never of known they were calling. Surprised when I called them to tell them how upset I was for driving so far only to never receive a message or at least hear a ringing phone, they indicated that by the grace of God, my item, which I had paid for months in advance had arrived.
I was almost home so I reset an appointment. They did provide me a credit towards my part that I paid for which I appreciate. (To be clear, I asked for some form of credit).
During my discussions with the office manager, instead of listening to my concerns, she asked me if I wanted to stop seeing them. This made me even more upset. When you find a dentist you like, searching for a new one isn’t an alternative. I understand that maybe they were upset with the chain of events that had occurred to me but all I want to someone to hear me.
Overall I go back tomorrow and I still like this practice, but they should really look into their phone system and see why people’s phones don’t ring when they call

Everyone at Caring Family Dentistry does an excellent job with my teeth; and handle my extra limitations with, well, care. It's worth the trip from Nashua. Thank you!

I have been going to this dentist since I was in elementary school I'm in my 20s now. I have have watched this place go threw a downward spiral. It use to be you saw the same people every time they knew you and your teeth well! Now they are all about the money and trying to get you in an out as quickly as possible. It use to be you only had to wait a few minutes if that in the waiting room now you may want to make it an all day event. They cram you into this tiny waiting room with not enough chairs to wait and there's always at least one person awkwardly standing. Then they rush threw the "cleaning" of your teeth. For mine, every time they would only clean my back teeth? Good luck if you can't make it to the appointment you set 6 months ago they are so over booked they can't get you in for another 6 months. Don't forget to answer their calls and text as well, if you don't they give your appointment to someone else!!

I've been to many dentists over the years but my experience with Dr Sheffler at Caring Family has been one of the worst. Every time I have met with Dr Sheffler, either during a cleaning at his office or while receiving treatment from him, he has acted like he is being inconvenienced by being there. While receiving treatment I was very uncomfortable due to Dr Sheffler's method of prepping my teeth, even getting injured in the process and he couldn't have cared less. As for the fillings I received, the work he did was terrible and will have to be redone. Either he doesn't know how to restore a tooth properly or he just doesn't care to because after bringing the problems to his attention his attempt to fix the shoddy work did nothing to improve them. There are many great dentists out there, do some research and find one. Don't settle and come here like I did, you'll wish you hadn't.

I've been going to Caring Family Dentistry in Concord since 2017. I appreciate the kind and professional treatment I always get from my hygienist. This keeps me motivated to get checkups and cleanings on a regular basis, and that's great for my overall health. I would encourage anyone in the market for a dentist to go here.

I have been going here for about 10 years. I have nothing but amazing thing to say about our experiences here. Dr. Sheffler has been helpful, knowledgeable, patient, kind and funny. Dr. Teixiera and Dr. Gittleman have cared for my children and provided great care and concern for their comfort and well being. The staff is so smart and helpful - you always know where you stand with insurance and what to expect during each visit. Either my kids or I have seen most of the hygienists and ALL are wonderful. I feel sincerely cared about. The technology they use is advanced and makes you feel very confident in procedures. Even when we moved away from concord, I still chose go back to be seen there. I can’t say enough good things!

I was anxious to get dental work done and they were phenomenal at making me feel at ease. They asked if I needed any breathers throughout the whole process and talked me through everything. Excellent bedside manner.

The staff are terrific. The staff who arrange appointments are accommodating. The receptionist is very welcoming when I arrive for appointments. My hygienist listens carefully to ensure that I am comfortable during routine cleanings ensuring that my special needs are met. Dr. Sheffler or his staff have always been available when I have had dental emergencies. I have complete confidence in Dr. Sheffler's expertise. I am a very satisfied patient.
