This is a commentary on all dentist offices. The financial model of dentists is to their benefit only. I did not want XRAYS with my cleaning visit, one that I have waited months for. Because the dentist wanted the xrays I was denied my cleaning that day. It was offered that I reschedule to a day I would like xrays. As a consumer and a person in charge of my own health and well being I should decide what care I want. I am healthy and have great oral care. I am tired of being told by the dentist office what I have to have done when it is unnecessary. So my experience was very negative and I am going to search for a dentist that will provide me with the services I request and not the services they can bill and get paid for by the dental companies. Also tired of the conversations between the hygienist and dentist about my teeth and tsk, tsk, she needs this and that. DONE. Taking back my healthcare. I probably won’t find a dentist that will do as I ask is my feeling.

I am new to Caring Family Dentistry. One thing that stood out to me was that they sent me the paperwork prior to my appointment so the check in process was a breeze for me. I didn't have to wait in the waiting room while they processed everything. Instead, I was in within 10 minutes of arriving.

The staff members are nice, but beware: they often give you wrong quotes without checking how much money is left on your insurance. Moreover, they don't give you quotes in writing unless you ask them. Now that I had to pay extra $500, I regret not making sure I had an official estimate in writing and double checking after them that I did indeed have enough money on my insurance plan to cover the work.
