Dr. Ertl uses THE best technology, the latest dental procedures, and always ensures his patients are comfortable. Every patient at Laurelwood Family Dentistry is treated like family and the office works diligently to collect all monies from an insurance company before billing a patient. The staff understands insurance billing procedures and will work hard to make sure the patient is not paying anything more than their fair share. If you're looking for a dentist in Asheville, this is your guy!

Most horrible dentist I've ever been to! I agree with a lot of the other reviews when they say "money hungry", all I had done was a cleaning and xrays that my insurance paid for, he did extra things that was not covered under my insurance but told me it was so I got a bill 3 months later for it when I called and asked about it they were very rude and said "read the fine print you signed". He cut my mother's tongue during a procedure and never once said sorry even told her "I almost hit your main vain and you could have bleed to death but luckly I didn't " then billed her for the stiches!! Horrible, horrible!! I'm turning them into BBB!

I've been going here for a couple years and have always had a good experience. Everyone is friendly and dental cleanings are thorough. They spend plenty of time answering any questions and providing needed information.

0 stars if I could! Bought a groupon for an exam and hygiene cleaning when their office first opened and they needed clients. Was initially impressed with the modern office and the cleaning. While there I was talked into veneers which I needed after a basketball injury left me with a root canal on my front tooth which had started to darken. It was a nightmare. The temporary veneers fell off and then the permanent veneers fell off twice. When you’re in sales in front of clients, this is not a scenario that should ever happen. After the permanent veneers fell off the first time, I noticed that there were very clear air bubbles where there was space between the teeth and veneers allowing food and whatnot to enter. I was immediately worried because friends with veneers said it should never happen, let alone 2-3 times. Luckily, Ertyl put them back on for free the first time but then charged me almost $200 the second time and said I was grinding my teeth. No other dentist had ever told me that I grinded my teeth including them. I was upset about this and do not trust this office or dentist. Very convenient to blame that on a sudden tooth grinding diagnosis. I have seen other dentists since and was told that for the front teeth, that crowns would have been better than veneers and that I do not grind my teeth from what they can tell. Regardless, I’d only go here for a cavity or cleaning. Go somewhere else for major dental work....Or pick a new dentist all together unless you want to have the nightmares I did.

This office doesn't care about your dental health-it's all about the money! They neglect to inform you about costs while you're there...and then when you need more services they tell you it's more money because you failed to have a certain exam performed on the first visit-but they didn't tell you that on the first visit. Very deceptive practice-don't care about the patient only getting money! Never go here.

Fraudulent billing practices and rude staff. Not worth your time or money. Plenty of other options in the South Asheville area.

I have been a current/past patient of this practice for a little over 3 years. Referred my spouse for services. Instead of trying to explain, the billing manager proceeded to email very rude and defensive responses. I have worked for one of the biggest medical systems in WNC and have had multiple years with billing and denial management.

It’s sad that a business is calling legit reviews spam and fraudulent. Becoming defensive is an admission of guilt... when you treat your clients as a number vs a valuable assets the truth tends to come out.

I love them, they have always been super kind and helpful. Dr. Ertl is great! They really take the time to care for your oral health and I’ve never had much of a wait at all.

I hardly would say "I loved it!" but it rated the highest praise I can give. The difference between the modern procedure used to take care of a cavity this morning is nothing like it has been in years past. I was in and out of the office in a matter of 30 minutes I sixth star should be added to the above system!

Dr. Ertyl is extremely cordial and thorough. He also takes the time to make sure all of my dental concerns are addressed and that I fully understand what was discussed.

Broke a tooth and was able to get in the next morning on a Friday.
