These people put on an "act" of caring and professionalism until you question them...the office staff gossips about patients like school girls, the prices are way too high and the dentist is extremely self motivated! They are unreasonable regarding appointment cancellations and they lie to the insurance company to get there way. They even slander and make up stories. I am being charged full price for a temporary crown since they sold me a $397 whitening kit so I could whiten my teeth before the crown was made. The whitening kit did not work because I later found out that gray teeth like mine (from antibiotics) do not whiten. The dentist knew this and sold me the kit anyway which the going rate is $217 not the ridiculous price of $397 and now told my insurance company that my crown was made 4 weeks ago!!!! How could they make the crown if they haven't seen my teeth color? They were supposed wait until I finished the whitening kit and "check" the color to match it. I am not letting this go! I have had it with money hungry dentists! Oh and he had this "Integrity" plaque in the bathroom telling you how he has his patients best interests at heart. More like his profits!!!!
Update January 30, 2016 Just found out that two procedures that Erlt claimed myself and my husband needed were unnecessary!!!

Our family has been coming to Laurelwood Family Dentistry several years. Dr. Ertl is a real pro with the latest procedures. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Liz in particular is very knowledgeable on the insurance side and clarified my coverage when it was confusing to me. The nurses and hygienists get to know you personally and are very thorough and professional. They go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of, questions answered, and satisfied. They always tell you what they are doing before they do it. They are also always available on an emergency basis. I highly recommend Laurelwood Family Dentistry

I've spent my entire life extremely anxious about going to the dentist, but at Laurelwood I'm very comfortable! Every other dentist I've been to has made me feel guilty and afraid, but at Laurelwood all I receive is kind and honest treatment. Instead of pressure towards different procedures, they simply say, "Hey, it's an option, and just let us know if you're interested." They remember their patients and care about their lives in- and outside of the office, and they celebrate your successes with you. I'm so glad to have found them!

What with the virus thing, they made me feel safe about getting my tooth fixed. They have modern equipment so procedures are fast and accurate. They give me all the numbing my tooth needed. Everyone there is an angel that cares for me. Thank you everyone at Laurelwood.

My experience at Laurelwood Family Dentistry has been topnotch. Dr. Ertl and his staff are very kind and professional, as well as gentle with any dental work I have received. Also, I don't have to take time off from work since this practice stays open late some evenings. The office is absolutely beautiful and very clean. Thank you for all your hard, efficient work Laurelwood Family Dentistry!

After my husband was fired and I lost my insurance (on a Friday), I called and left a message to cancel an appointment on monday. But "the weekend isn't 48 hours" and they have no souls, so they kept my $350, charged me another $350 that I had to demand back, and then had the audacity to send me a bill.
They also told me that I had to be completely sedated to remove my wisdom teeth. Not true.
Just money-grubbing scam artists with fancy equipment.

Today was my second visit to Laurelwood. The staff is great and extremely friendly. Latoya is the best! I’ve never had anyone clean my teeth the way that she does! Dr. Ertl is very professional. I would definitely recommend this dentist office!

I had a good experience. I thought everyone in the office was very competent and kind. The office even called my insurance company to find out the details of my plan before I went in, and then sat me down after my appointment to review and explain to me what it would cover. My waiting period on my insurance isn't over, so I decided not to get my work done until then, which they were very understanding. The dental hygienist was really thorough and knowledgeable. My only complaint would be that my appointment didn't start right on time and I had to wait a bit for the dentist to get to me. I plan on going back.

Horrible experiences with this office.
Staff is rude and dentist claimed to lack experience in basic dental work.
Extort you at every turn, with surprise charges, incorrect billing...not to mention the mistakes in the actual procedures.
Did not seem like dentist himself was confident in his abilities.
No concern expressed for patient any level-just for their money and procedures.
Cannot think of anything positive to say about this place
Updated per owner response:
To be clear: the first mistake was in billing and planned work to be done when my wife and I came in for fillings- I was scheduled for 2 fillings, on the right side of my mouth yet 1 filling was done on the left side (Also needed)-nobody was sure/could explain why the change took place yet they billed me for 2 fillings rather than the one completed. Once I called them on the error, they adjusted the bill accordingly.
Furthermore the filling that was performed at that time was incomplete, as my current dentist has pointed out to me.
He showed me side by side x rays( 1 from laurelwood as well as the one his staff had done) and explained to me that I needed a filling on the same tooth filled by laurelwood merely a few months ago due to the fact that laurelwoods x-ray was incomplete and had missed a cavity on the back side of the tooth-So, my current dentist now reccomends pulling the tooth- thanks Laurelwood.
After dealing with the multitude of issues, my wife and I opted to take our dental needs elsewhere-i was content to forgive and forget-however in a malicious retort, Laurelwood failed to send my records to my current dentist.
With a mere couple hrs before appt, I called to request records be sent immediately, however was informed that records are only sent on Mondays (a practice I have confirmed with other dentists to be unheard of and ridiculous.)
Moreover the previous Monday was a holiday and so rather than doing the right thing Laurelwood, opted to withhold my records, or extort me for a $25 fee to "expedite." (Also unheard of by my current dentist.)
To compound the matter, my current dentist informed me that my wife's records were never sent although they had been requested more than 2 months previous.
As a result, I had to pay the extortion to Laurelwood for my own records, and my wife was subjected to unnecessary x rays and the cost of them-some nerve calling me malicious.
While dealing with the extortion, I cautioned the receptionist that if they refused to do the right thing, I would be sure to make it known on social media-her response was casually dismissive, which has led to this point.
In closing, facts don't care about your feelings and the truth, by its very definition, cannot be malicious.
After a final review of your response, I would put forth a few additional statements.
You stated that you "refuse to tolerate rude behavior toward your (specifically) "female" team members when a patient demands treatment that falls below the minimum standard of care."
Firstly, I am appalled that you have different standards for the men and women in your office as this is 2020 and women are equal-shame on you for playing the victim and sexism!!
Furthermore, my request was for at least the minimum standard of care-who in their right mind would demand less??
As aforementioned and further qualified with specific examples, no false statements were made, therefore I would expect an apology at the least as well as a retraction of your previous statements.
Finally, malice would indicate a negative or evil intent-when speaking legally, I would highly recommend being accurate, (as I have been)- as confirmed with legal counsel, my discussion with office staff (male or female irregardless) could not be construed as malicious as justice and integrity in business practice was tone, tenor, and topic of conversation.
