Went for a first appointment after 7 years and the entire staff was incredibly friendly and informative. I have a super sensitive mouth and they were very accommodating to my comfort, even watched Netflix while my teeth were being cleaned! I'm definitely not disappointed in my choice.

The staff was very nice but Dr. Ertl used a blue light or something that is “supposed to detect precancerous spots” that people can’t see without it. He saw a spot in my mouth and said that it could be precancerous and that he would check it again when I came back in 3 months. At the 3 month mark I came in and no one mentioned anything about it. I reminded the assistant and she said she would tell the Dr. When he came over he still never said anything about it so I reminded him. He did not use the blue light again, all he did was say oh no your mouth looks fine. I left still feeling uneasy.

I felt they were very friendly and really felt as if Dr. Ertl and his entire staff were very knowledgeable about the work they were performing as well as the machines they were using. They discussed with me what they found from the multiple x-rays and were able show me the places in my mouth that they were concerned about. It was very beneficial for me to be able to professionally discuss with them their concerns and ways that i could improve and maintain my oral hygiene. Taking time out to actually show and discuss with me my own x-rays gave me the sense that they were being very honest and truly cared about my overall health. As far as cost is concerned, I felt with the care that I received and the recommendations that I was given that the price that I paid was extremely reasonable. I recommended this dentistry office to all of my family and friends and will continue to utilize their services in the future.

Don't go to laurelwood family dentistry if you expect insurance to cover your visit. The staff lie to patients to get them to set up an appointment, and then change the story, charging you once they have you on the hook. After being assured multiple times by my insurance company and the receptionists at this office that my insurance plan would cover a simple introductory exam, I was seconds away from going to see the dentist when something the receptionist said stopped me. "Oh so this is out of network," she said - keep in mind that I was told multiple times that this provider was in network and I actually found the dentist through my insurance companies website. The nurse was calling me at the door to go back, and I said "Hold on, I just heard them say this is out of network." They responded with some canned reply, saying that it was technically in network, but the office rates were set individually, whatever that means. The end result was that they expected me to pay almost 100 dollars for what was supposed to be covered with no out of pocket cost, and they hadn't even intended to tell me. They then explained that it was "a courtesy" to provide information regarding the billing. As if notifying patients of how much we are expected to pay is not their policy. While I was there a customer asked how much their bill was, to which they replied "oh uh... I don't know, just keep an eye on the mail and if you get a letter from us then it'll tell you what you owe." The lack of transparency regarding billing is appalling and the staff just don't care.

Always have a great experience at Laurelwood Family Dentistry. Service is prompt, efficient and pleasant. Always patient and willing to listen to any concerns. I highly recommend this service.

Forgot to take my x-rays during my visits last year which led to some issues that could have been prevented.

Failed to inform me that they’re crown visit would have me in the chair for 5 hours. Crown doesn’t fit right.

Failed to send a reminder text to an on the fly appointment, which wouldn’t have been an issue if I would have been given a date on the phone call. No date texted (they like to use text) or written or posted anywhere else. Was not expecting the appointment to be two days after I called. I then was charged a late fee of $45 as if it was completely my fault. This is after I’ve spent thousands of dollars with them. Laurel Family Denistry is way too expensive to be treated like this. Btw: this is only the third review I’ve ever left for anyone and the only bad one.

I walked in as a new patient and was greeted by smiles and helpful people. They scheduled me quickly and was able to be seen same day. Dr. Ertl was very pleasant and easy to work with, balancing your concerns while prioritzing your health. All around it has been my first truly pleasant experience with dental care.

I have been neglecting going to the dentist for a while, but finally the time came when I had no choice. I chose laurelwood family dentistry and It exceeded my expectations!!!! I was thrilled with the excellent customer service that Elizabeth and other staff provided. Also, Dr. Ertl did an amazing job with the crown work. I couldn't be happier and plan on using them to get me back on track!!

Everyone at Laurelwood Family Dentistry is wonderful. They were great with both kids and adults, communicated clearly, didn’t make us feel bad about being behind on our dental care, and took care to make sure we were all at ease. We’re so glad we found them!

Laurelwood Dentistry is great! My family and I have been patients of Dr. Ertl for several years now and couldn't be happier. The staff is so kind and accommodating. We also love the central location and email and text updates we receive to remind us of appointments.
