I went to get a molar pulled today, an my dentist (I can't remember his name) didn't wait long enough for my numbing stuff to kick in before proceeding to pull out my tooth, and then when I lifted my hand to signal I was in a lot of pain, he acted like he didn't even see it. I was in so much pain I was shaking and crying, and by the time I got home, I was twice as numb as when we left. I'm never going to go back to this clinic.

Went in with severe toothache. The tooth in question chipped in a way that left the nerve exposed. They looked at it. The tooth causing the pain was severely degraded, and previously scheduled for a root canal (which has not been done yet). So the only solution on the tooth was to have it pulled. They scheduled the pulling for that tooth for Tuesday, January 29th.

Basically saying:
“The guy is suffering and pulling the tooth now will alleviate the pain, but we pull the tooth in five days and we won’t write him a prescription for the pain. Instead we’ll tell an over the counter solution that may or may not work. But that’s not our problem and I have regularly scheduled patients to attend to who have less urgent needs and are not in pain.”

Disclaimer: These are not the actual words they used but the attitude and body language added to it and this is what it felt like.

Dr. Weisshoff and Tiana had me in the chair 18 times to repair many years of neglect and a very bad bicycle accident which knocked out my whole smile. By far the best dental work I've ever had done. The nicest people your ever going to meet. The least stressful, least painful, most professional dentistry I have ever been a part of. Oh I also have a beautiful smile as of today and life can go on again. Highly recommended.

Everybody was wonderful. Most comfortable I’ve been at a dentist in years. Got me in quickly, gave me super service & even got me in on a cancellation within half an hour. Couldn’t have been more pleased. 😀

The front end staff just doesn't seem to know what they're doing. First off, no one informed me that doctor Johnson left. I asked when I was confirming the appt if it was still Dr Johnson and I was told it was someone else as Johnson had left their practice. This was 4 days before my scheduled appt. Then, only when I asked how much, i was informed that the procedure was going to cost twice as much as expected. When I asked why, I was told they didnt know and someone would have to call me back.
Apparently communication fell short because the person who called me back had no idea why they were calling me even though the last person on the phone said theyd make a note. After asking again why the procedure would cost twice as much, they informed me that my insurance didnt cover the procedure. I informed them that it did and I had this same issue last year with their billing. I got the procedure code from the front desk person on the phone and called my insurance company. Surprise, surprise, the procedure is covered and is covered under the code they're using. So I call advantage dental back and ask them to confirm with my insurance company, which I'm told they already did before they called me back earlier in the day... which was a total lie because again, I had just spoke to my insurance company and dealt with this same incompetence last year. I only put up with their bs because I liked Dr Johnson. I cancelled my appt and I wont be going back. Over 3 years of dealing with them and I'm just done with the run around.

This office is completely incompetent. My husband needed two fillings done. One on a root canal tooth. They did the one with the root canal at one appointment because it would be faster than the other tooth, then we had to reschedule the other appointment 3 times due to their mistakes, making it a total of 6 months before he was able to get the other filling done. Out of however many dentists they have, apparently only one can do nitrous even though that seems like a given that the dr should be certified in upon graduation. If you have the misfortune of being assigned this office through OHP, ask to get reassigned.

This place is a big scam. Never go there. they make up fake visits look at you for a few moments and send you on your way.
How they are still able to operate in this state is beyond me.
Poorly trained staff, cancel you last moment for surgery. Oh here is a good one; they "forgot" to send in a antibiotic prescription 3 times.
lucking they have not been hit with a malpractice lawsuit yet.... Or maybe the have. I should hop on WestLaw Next and check out some cases when i get to work...

I'm giving 3 stars instead of 5 because the dr that performed my root canal today (9/4/18) didn't really make sure I was comfortable and wanted me 2 open my mouth further when I had it open as far as I could the bite plate was just in my mouth for color I guess. I think that dr Andrew's should really work on his bedside manor cuz he made me feel like "just another patient". The dental assistant tho (did not catch her name) was very helpful and very kind and made sure I had all my questions answered. I know that that is her job and the dentists is to work on the tooth but truthfully.... he made me feel not welcomed. I will be back tho bcuz I have a bunch of dental stuff to complete but if I had the option and the ability 2 pay on my own I would likely go elsewhere. I hope this doesnt offend anyone. I had a much better experience at the 17th and chambers location than the 8th street.

On 2 separate occasions I have needed to have an asap appointment and they got me in right away. Both times I was in pain and because they got me in asap my pain was ended. I love the way that I am treated by all in this office and how nice everybody is. I have and will continue to refer friends and family to this office.
