Hi,
I wanted to share my experience after my Husbands.
I was in several months ago and I believe I had the same rude, aggressive dentist. The nurse had to tell him to be gentle and watch my blood pressure through the whole procedure. He doesn’t like to be asked, or told anything. Seems to love inflicting pain on his patients.
Arrogant control freak!

Dr. Dhillon and Amy took good care of me as i experienced my first molar extraction. The were upbeat, professional, calm and....fast. I was done and on my way to healing in less than half an hour. Thank you!

My first appointment this morning, the lady was kind of rough on my mouth with X-rays, but my cleaning lady was very sweet and gental! I was referred to get my wisdom teeth removed. Waited over 15 days for a call to schedule an appointment and when they scheduled it they schedule it two months out and I can barley eat food they are so bad. I understand they are over booked and over worked with minimal staff but this is ridiculous. Something needs to be figured out for this business.

I am so pleased to have Bill Castle as my Denturist. He is professional, great personality, calm, and does a fantastic job. I am very pleased with the quality of his work and making sure I'm happy with my new denture. I highly recommend him!
Also his assistant, Danae, who is professional, friendly, thorough.
It's been a pleasure working with them.

WARNING DO NOT COME HERE. DRILL BITS WILL BE LOST IN YOUR MOUTH! I seriously cannot believe that as my husband went to a dentist appointment today ( elsewhere ) and his dentist kindly showed my husband a drill bit tip left in his temporary filling!!!!!!! Advantage dental can be expecting a lawsuit. The absolute worst. No wonder they sent him on his way so quickly and gave him some money back from his co pay! Now it makes sense. Good luck if you go here.

I’ve been going here far about 18 months now. My first impression was uh oh because of the appearance from the Parking lot and a sign in the reception area about behavior. I’m glad your stayed to find out what type of service I’d get. The dental staff are top notch and have a soft touch. I love being able to see the same dentist for every visit! The only reason they did not get 5 stars is due to the reception area.

I had an appointment scheduled about a month in advance. I received a call on the Friday before my Monday appointment saying they would need to reschedule. That wasn't too bad, but the earliest they would reschedule was over two months from then. Extremely poor service and I'll be going elsewhere for dental from now on.

I called Advantage Dental on W17th today to see about becoming a new patient. The very nice lady, Anastasia, on the phone said I would need to contact my insurance and switch providers. So I did that very day. Long to short of it, Anastasia was very friendly, informative and professional. I am looking forward to my first visit!

The staff here are very professional, kind and were eager to answer my questions. They made my dental experience very comfortable. I was 15 minutes late and they still took me in! This is really great as I live so far away. Thank you!

First, the staff are very friendly as are the dentists I've seen at this clinic. This one star review is not for them. This one star is partly for communication issues with this clinic in particular, but primarily for Advantage Dentil as a whole which, in my opinion, is too large of an organization to take good and accessible care of its patients.

In March 2019, I went to this clinic mistakenly thinking I was covered by my insurance who contracts with Advantage Dental. It turns out I was covered at a different Advantage Dental location, but not this one due to my PCD being at another clinic. I did not understand this and thought that going to this clinic was in agreement with my insurance since there are many Advantage Dental locations. At this first visit, I paid a $25 copay. I received *no* notification from this office that in June 2019, when the insurance claim was processed, it was denied.

For some time during that period, my voicemail box was full, which was definitely my responsibility. But, there are at least two other ways I would have expected to receive notification that my insurance denied the claim and that I owed the clinic money: through a written bill in the mail or, maybe, when I had a follow up appointment scheduled for 6 months out.

In September 2019 I went for my follow up appointment, having no idea that the same insurance on file had denied my previous claim and *again* paid a $25 copay. I should not have been able to walk into this office and receive services and pay a "copay" that was not actually valid through my insurance a *second time.*

More than a year later, in January 2021, I received notification in the mail from a debt collector, QCI (Quick Collect, Incorporated) asking for what had become $400 of unpaid bills plus interest. As a graduate student, this "surprise-you-haven't-seen-a-dentist-in-over-a-year-$400-bill" accounts for about 30% of my monthly stipend - that's roughly the cost of groceries and other living expenses beyond rent for a month. I am very fortunate, given global economic and pandemic crises, to be able to afford this bill at this moment.

If a debt collector a state away has the ability to reach me by mail to communicate an outstanding cost, why can't Advantage Dental (this clinic walking distance from my residence) have reached me or informed me that my $25 "copays" were meaningless? I never ever ever would have scheduled a second appointment at this location if I had known this wasn't the specific Advantage Dental clinic associated with my insurance or that there was an issue with my insurance at this location. I remember receiving phone communication from the office confirming my September 2019 appointment - why didn't insurance or billing come up at that moment? Shouldn't it have been a problem that I hadn't paid $200 for my first visit in advance of that second visit 6 months later?

No one trying to take care of their health should be able to walk into a clinic *twice* thinking they're covered by their insurance and more than a year later get contacted by a debt collector for eight times the amount of money they thought they spent on dental services more than a year ago.

Additionally, being contacted, over a year later, by someone claiming to be a debt collector is scary. With no offense meant to the debt collection agency, a name like "Quick Collect Incorporated" doesn't exactly scream legitimacy. It plays into the immediacy fear tactic used by many scammers. College students, especially, due to their student loans, are a frequent target of financial scams claiming debt. Combined with the fact that owing money for dental work done in 2019 seemed completely bizarre, and that I received no direct communication from the office that there was any issue with my bills in continuing to schedule a follow-up appointment, this experience was extremely stressful.

Many awesome people work for Advantage Dental, but I fell through the cracks in their enormous and seemingly impersonal system and I do not recommend Advantage Dental if you have a choice in the matter.
