Island Dentistry

I have been coming to Island Dentistry since moving to FL 4 years ago. Everyone puts you at ease as soon as you walk in. Little to no wait time for scheduled appointment; I am usually taken right in. We recently changed insurance and Brandi worked with us to make sure everything was taken care of. Hygienists are friendly and professional and Dr. Scales is wonderful. Thanks to all.

After having neglected annual dental check-ups for several years, I made an appointment with Island Dentistry, simply hoping for the best. The team at Island Dentistry went way above and beyond my expectations. From the moment you enter the office, you are made to feel like a welcomed and appreciated individual. My hygienist, Sara, is absolutely exceptional. She is kind, personable, and extremely professional. She constantly made sure I was comfortable and well—informed of all procedures taking place. After she took all necessary x-rays, pictures, exam, etc., she called Dr. P in to speak with me and explain a treatment plan to get me back to where I need to be as far as my dental health is concerned. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I travel a lot, and the entire staff went out of their way to work with my schedule. The entire office is spotless with state of the art equipment. From the moment you walk into the office, until the time you leave, you are treated with kindness and professionalism. I cannot even begin to give this practice, and especially Sara, the props they deserve. I HIGHLY recommend this business. Thank you, Island Dentistry!

The staff is very friendly and courteous! The dentist is very personable, and provides excellent service. The hygienist Ashley is fantastic and she is the most thorough and delicate hygienist that I’ve ever had. If you can get Ashley you will be thankful. Nothing but good things to say about them.

My visit to Island Dentistry was wonderful! Everyone was friendly and caring. The atmosphere helped me relax. Best dental experience I have had.

After going to my last cleaning appointment and finding out my hygienist moved. I had to try to find her and when I did I felt so relieved as I’m not one to sit in a dental chair to have anyone near my mouth. Mrs. Sarah so glad I found you here and today was my first time back busy day of first photos xrays deep cleaning and catching up since I haven’t had a cleaning since Sept2019 and refused to go back until I found Sarah. She is amazing and so are the girls at the front desk
They would call and see if I could come sooner due to openings just trying to get me in and started up again. Mrs. Sarah I will drive as far as I need to have you take care of my teeth and gums. Amazing place to go.

The dentist Dr. Lenz does very good work. If you happen to decide to go to this office I suggest requesting her. However at Island Dentistry there seems to be disconnect with billing, front desk and the dentist. Check your treatment plan closely and get an updated copy everytime you visit! Mine copy given by them seldom matched theirs on the day of an appointment. The dentist would tell me one thing just to have the office say another. Get your act together! The last visit I had two ladies refused to give me a copy of the dental plan but were very addemate that I sign it. I just wanted to confirm with my insurance the coverage and if everything was good. The reason for this is on a previous visit my insurance partially denied a claim since the procedure could have been done cheaper. Something doesn't seem right when a medical office refuses to give the patient a copy of the procedure to be completed. The office does NOT like to be questioned!

This is my second review of Island Dentistry! They have a very nice facility with a welcoming staff across the board. I am almost finished with my proposed treatment plan, and had to have a healthy (albeit obtrusive) wisdom tooth extracted. I was initially unsure about the procedure in general, and Dr.Popkowski made it look like second nature. No pain during or after, and I was provided thorough steps for care until my post-op status check. Really impressed with these folks and glad I chose them!

I have a serious fear/anxiety of dentist and they made me feel comfortable the entire process. They explained everything every step of the way and planned out further steps allowing me to decide the pace. The hygienist "Alfie" made me feel at ease and when she could tell I was uncomfortable she stopped and put knumbing gel on my gums to make it an easier process for me. Look forward to working with them in helping me love my smile again. Wonderful office!!

I have been going to Island Dentistry for years and will not go anywhere else. The staff is always very friendly and efficient. I love my dental hygienist. They truly care about their patients and their community. I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone.

New Patient experience

Check in- pleasant, timely, and comfortable waiting area though my wait was very short and appointment was on time.

Was provided tour of the office by Tracy and greeted by the staff members in the hallways.

Dental Hygiene Cleaning process- Tracy was organized and provided sincere patient care. I was thoroughly informed, appointment was timely, and happy with results.

Introduction to Dr. P - He reviewed the myriad of x rays and HI definition photos and explained next steps. Again sincere patient care. Kind demeanor and calming presence.

Business Office/checkout- very engaging, smiling faces and went over treatment plan and explained line by line the costs and my insurance coverage.

I was able to be scheduled next day to see Dr. P

Experience was great as I was called back ahead of schedule, Dr. P and his dental assistant where in tune. All Smiles for me, and especially after my appointment with Dr. P all fixed up!

*The office seems to be a well oiled machine, everyone engaged and diligently working on their responsibilities, very comfortable, clean, modern dental office.
