The office staff were efficient and friendly. The hygienist very capable (Misoe). The dentist thorough

I liked their coffee, etc..
but they had their headsets on, & made me feel uncomfortable..
The dental assistant & the dentist were speaking ill of me, & made very uneasy. I wouldn’t go back their if they paid ME.
Go to another place if you want to be treated with respect.
The Acorn clinic or the UF Dental Clinic r Amazing & phenomenal ... They did a fantastic job on my veneers, etc..
& they work with you, & r for the most part very respectful. (Some of the assistants r rude, but they r really young, so what can u expect).
But they r affordable, (practically free if u have Medicaid), & if not, they work with u on a sliding scale. (The same students rotate on a weekly schedule—absolutely awesome places to go if u love in the North FL area).
The University Family Dentistry place is way way overpriced, & I hate to say it, but the dentist their is snobby & rude.
The dental assistant is worse! She made some rude comment about my “ring” not being “real”, & said “well, good luck on ur anatomy class” sarcastically..
When I was genuinely trying to have an honest conversation with her about my career choice etc. very snobby of her & disrespectful.
Would NOT recommend to anybody.

I'll admit it. I'm a chicken. I hate going to the dentist. Yet, today's visit-my first here - was not nearly as horrible as I thought it would be. That's actually a HUGE compliment coming from me. Karyn was extremely gentle and explained everything she was doing. She's very empathetic and kind. The doc is very personable and also explained everything very clearly. I won't say I'm looking forward to my next visit, but I won't be dreading it either. Nice job, ladies. You guys were great!

Had a wonderful experience today with Jessica, my hygienist and Dr. Dickens. It has taken me years to find a hygenist/dentist I feel is an expert and someone I can trust AND they make it fun. Great use of technology and efficient team. Solid business 💪

My first visit was probably the best dental visit I’ve ever had. I’m not a huge fan of going, and have some anxiety about the dentist, but the staff was so welcoming and helpful. They explained everything they were doing and talked me through the process. A wonderful and thoughtful practice, you can tell they put patientcare first and foremost. The rooms are clean and the wait area is very inviting. I will definitely be using them from now on. Thanks!

This office has the nicest staff and doctors in town. I have terrible dental anxiety and they are always so paitent and understanding with me. They do amazing work and never make you feel uncomfortable about the work or amount of work that needs to be done. They are always willing to work with you around your needs and assist you with outside resources as well if need be.

I’m seeing a lot of “1 star” reviews stating that they are attempting to swindle patients out of money by saying that they have multiple cavities that don’t really exist. I am commenting here to let you know that this is not the case and don’t dismiss this office because of it. I was also told that I had the beginnings of a few cavities, and at first I was shocked. But they did show me on the X-rays where exactly they were and I saw them for myself. Not all cavities are extremely painful and noticeable to the person. Many are minor or are just beginning but are definitely worth being aware of.. which is what the dentist is doing for you. Depending on how much the cavity has progressed, it may need work or it may be able to heal on its own. Don’t be upset because they are thorough! As for them wanting money... I went in yesterday to have a tooth fixed (needed filling to fix a chip) and the dentist went ahead and did some slight fixing to several of my other teeth with no extra charge. She didn’t need to spend the extra time with me to do that.. but she did. All of the staff is extremely friendly and personable. I believe that the dentists are extremely knowledgeable. I would recommend this office to everyone. Best dental experience I’ve ever had.

I love coming here. They are very accommodating; I've been unable to get a babysitter for my first couple appointments and they just found a chair for my toddler to sit by me. I also appreciate that they took the time to explain my x-rays to me in detail; I've never had a dentist do that before.

Super professional and they take their time to explain everything they are doing and the reason for it. I came away from my cleaning learning so much more about when dentists are looking for during these visits. They made me feel very comfortable, and I never once felt pressured to purchase optional/unnecessary treatments
