Amazing friendly staff, appointment was seen on time. Office was clean and most importantly to me was the COVID-19 precautions! Would definitely recommend to friends and family, could not think of anything negative to say!

It pains me to write this. Good doctors and quality care but beware of their front office practices. They overestimate and overcharge your out of pocket portion, then have no proactive process in place to refund you. The appearance is they collect from you AND your insurance, then hold onto your money until you request it back. My husband has been a patient for years. Something has changed in the last year. They charged him and his son a deductible they didn’t owe, he then had to pursue a refund. For me they overestimate my portion of a crown by $400. It has taken me almost A YEAR to get it back. I finally received a check 11 months later (for a different amount than what they told me they owed me in SEPTEMBER) and only because I pursued it. Multiple texts, phone calls and personal trips to their office. If I had not been persistent, they would still be holding my money in their bank account. And no it is not my insurance company’s fault. I have all of the statements. My insurance company responded promptly and paid timely. The amount in alleged dispute was $103 and the insurance company requested additional information which it took months to receive. Also not sure why UFD thinks they can hold on to the other $300 not in dispute for months. Anyway, fair warning to you…we are moving to a different practice.

Everyone was professional, nice, and were patient with all of my questions! Would definitely recommend anyone looking for a dentist in a Gainesville to come here. It was a 6 month new patient waiting list when I made my appointment but it was worth it, especially given my poor experience with my previous dentist.

Absolutely amazing! I highly recommend this dental practice. Extremely thorough, kind, compassionate, eased my anxiety and spent quality time explaining and putting together a plan of action. What I also appreciated was their honesty and integrity. It wasn't about how much can we get her to spend. It was about the patients quality of care. Thank you so much! May God bless University Family Dental. See you in a few weeks.

The last time I visited the dentist, I had to wait 35 min between the cleaning and the dentist check in.

This week, I had made an appointment 6 months in advance, and when the office called me to confirm my appointment yesterday (the day before the appointment), they said a different time than what I had scheduled, without even acknowledging that there had been a change. I was in the middle of something else and confirmed the appointment, but I felt that something was off because I had scheduled a meeting during that time, so immediately after hanging up, I double checked my calendar and found that the office had confirmed the wrong appointment time. When I called back and explained the error, the attendant told me that my appointment had been rescheduled. I then explained that I would not be available at the new time and asked if I could reschedule. She replied that I could and offered me their next availability, over three months in the future. I opted to cancel my conflicting meeting so that I would not have to wait that long for my appointment. When I arrived at the office today, I mentioned what had happened to the person cleaning my teeth, and she replied: “I’m sorry, we can’t control when someone needs to take a day off or gets sick. You’re lucky we were able to fit you in another time on the same day.” I can understand those unexpected occurrences and the need to then reschedule, but the office needs to take some steps to prepare for such events, such as having a back-up or leaving space in the schedule for more timely rescheduling, particularly when patients are scheduling appointments so far in advance. Accommodating your patients by requiring them to cancel meetings the day before they occur is not good service, particularly when the staff act like I should thank them for that low level of service.

The staff was friendly and very kind! I was able to get assistance with a last minute dental issue before an upcoming trip.
