Dr. Gerber and his assistants are so amazing and sweet! They also really live up to their name. Super duper Gentle with their patients!

Not a good experience. Incompetent billing staff. Misleading and missing information before arrival from the receptionist. If your office is no longer in network with a certain dental insurance group it's courtesy to notify the NEW patient BEFORE arrival versus rendering treatment first then asking for an out of pocket payment after. I intentionally arrived 45 mins early to settle any insurance issue only to be surprised with, "we just went out of network with [insurance provider]", AFTER they hurriedly gave me a tour of the office and took me back for x-rays. I didn't even have the chance to complete all of the new patient paperwork before being rushed back to be seen. Felt like a scam!! Also, it's courtesy to notify new patients that they will have their picture taken whether they approve or not.

Always very friendly and professional. If it wasn’t for the care they show, I would have never been able to come back. I have a huge dental phobia and they make it all go away! I love it here.

After onset of extreme pain I surrendered and started reaching out for assistance. Might I add I absolutely HATE dentist, I seem to have the luck where if it is going to happen it will be to me... When pain hits what choices do you really have? Well I can honestly say from calling multiple places in Tyler this was the first accepting place that would make time for me. Did I mention I hate dentist... But upon arrival I knew something was different about the way this practice opererated. Met with instant welcoming words of gesture eased my racing mind... Clearly I was told a direct plan of action that meet my needs.... If I had ten thumbs they all would be raised. Thanks to you and your staff for making me feel as if I was family.. Words can truly never be expressed on how professional and courteous I was treated.. As far as fair on of the only doctors I've ever met that kept the concern with fixing me up instead of watching my wallet. Will not do business anywhere else..........

Edit 10/24/2018, It appears that the comment of this facility violating HIPAA has been deleted in what I am assuming is a poor attempt at covering their tracks. Fortunately I screenshot the hippa violation and have uploaded it to the office's photos. Please reconsider your visit here after viewing not only my awful experience, but hipaa violations.

Edit 08/16/2018, since google won't let me respond directly to the response I got, I will be adding it here. I am a female, my last name is Moses, not my first. At the time of me visiting your clinic I was still going by my maiden name (Which I won't be disclosing because it seems like you have no problem releasing patient information without their approval) and I went to your office in 2014. So I'm not quite sure who's records you just pulled and posted on the internet that goes by the name of Moses, but it was done without their consent or knowledge and that's a hipaa violation. Which is a fine example of the sloppy work I would expect from your office.

I've looked around at the reviews on here and I'm glad to know everyone else had a great experience with Dr.Gerber and his staff. I honestly wouldn't suggest anyone go here if he were the last dentist on earth. I had a new insurance company and had to switch dentists, they were great about getting me in early, fantastic. When I initially saw Dr.Gerber, I had to pay for x-rays, all that fun stuff. He came in, looked at my mouth and told me ALL of my fillings, and my cap needed to be replaced. ( though they'd never caused me problems before) and my previous dentist had never said otherwise. Me being naive and never having had a negative dental experience agreed. Did I mention on top of that he also said I had extreme genitives and needed a deep cleaning? ( I've been to two dentists since and an oral surgeon that all say I have very healthy gums). So he maxes out my insurance, runs me up 2k+ charges. I go and get it all done except for the deep cleaning ( I'd have had to pay for that without insurance ), but even with insurance everything was still around 600$ because he'd claimed so much on my insurance. A week later the cap he'd insisted needed to be replaced started hurting, bad. But guess what? My insurance won't cover any other dental procedures for the year. I pay out of pocket to get examined by my old dentist because the pain was just so intense, needed a root canal on the cap they'd put on a month prior. Have I mentioned the cap they've put on doesn't fit? So, have to pay for a root canal out of pocket ( that's around 1,300$). I've since been told by my former dentist who I've been going to since, who is now on my insurance that none of my fillings needed to be replaced, they were fine. The main goal here of course is just to get as much money out of everyone's insurance as is possible. So if you're on a budget I'd suggest you go to copeland creek or Dr.Gerald Grey in Tyler. Avoid this place at all cost.

Fantastic, friendly service! The staff is helpful and the doctor was superb - I was there for a second opinion and the doctor was thorough and honest. I am a cash patient and really appreciate their willingness to meet my needs at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

I endured 4 Painful teeth infections which each lasted 3-6 weeks before they went away. During the 4 years of time those occurred, I had to chew delicately and only on one side of my mouth. Why didn't I go to the dentist?? Three Reasons. One, I thought it would be way more than I could afford. Two, I REALLY did not want to pull out ANY of my teeth. Three, I dreaded the thought of the pain I was sure would be endured after the visit. Well folks, I was wrong. After the final infection just wouldn't go away and actually spread into my jaw, I was forced to do something about it. I researched the ratings of several dentists in town and went to Gentle Dental, the highest rated. I was treated very professionally and courteously from the moment I walked in. They fully explained the order things would progressed and walked me in to be examined. In 20 minutes, I was looking at my x-rays and fully briefed on what was going on. Dr. Gerber educated me on my options and I chose to keep the tooth via a root Canal. We scheduled the Appointment and for the next ten days I heard numerous accounts of very painful root canals. I am so sorry for them. I had my Root Canal and literally endured no pain whatsoever during it. Afterwards, I only had minor soreness in my gums that evening. the next Day I am able to eat normal again Words cannot express my satisfaction with Gentle Dental and their staff. The name Truly says it all. Don't Suffer anymore. There is no need to.

If you are afraid of dental work, had bad experiences, you have chosen a good dentist. No pain, didn't swell, very fast and efficient. I'm still stunned by how great Dr.Gerber is. He's A6 star rating in a five star class.
