Gentle Dental Care of Tyler

I found Gentle Dental Care on Google. I have not had good experience with other dentist. I called Gentle Dental and got a same day appointment. I had a tooth removed and Dr. Gerber explained everything his assistant explained everything and when I called the person was so friendly. They hady insurance figured out very quickly. I didn't feel the tooth being pulled which did not happen with other dentist I have gone to see. I plan on continuing to go to Gentle Dental Care for all my dental work and I am recommending them to my friends and family. The office is very clean and they do everything there. I want to thank everyone at Gentle Dental Care for making my visit as pleasant as it could have been for seeing the dentist.

I have gone here for the better part of two years. Let me tell you this is by far the best dental place in Tyler. The staff is always really nice and the quality of their work is outstanding. Thank you Gentle Dental!

At first we really liked this place, but it didn't stay that way. We had agreed on a treatment plan, the dentist recommended crowns but we just wanted the teeth pulled, as crowns are expensive and easy to ruin. Getting as many crowns as they wanted would have only exhausted benefits. The dentist agreed to pull the teeth and do a partial for my son instead. Until we got the treatment plan in an email and it included crowns and no partial. We went back and forth before coming to a compromise. Then we went to get the impressions done for the partial, and we were given a quote that didn't include billing our TWO dental insurances. I asked them to re-do that and they did. No clue why they would think I would want to come 100% out of pocket when we have 2 insurances. They won't quote secondary insurances so my portion was going to be over $1000. Now, let me go on record as saying that I understand why they would want that payment upfront, but it was not told to me that it would be needed before the full service is provided. Not a portion, but the full payment. Seems like if only a portion of the work is done, a portion of the payment would be accepted but that wasn't an option. Even if that hadn't been the case, I was never told that full payment would be expected at the time of partial service so I drove 2 hours round trip to be told that I had to come up with over $1000 right that second. Honestly, if I ran a business I would make something like that 100% clear in order to avoid wasting everyone's time. But I guess exhausting a person's time goes hand in hand with exhausting their benefits there. I took time off work and drove 2 hours and they couldn't be bothered to utter one sentence (payment expected in full) over the phone at the time of booking the appointment. In short, if you don't have a bunch of money lying around to waste on services that they didn't bother to run through insurance or tell you that it's expected, skip this place and find a dentist office that knows about good communication.

Third dentist I’ve been to and so far the best. They’re very caring and made me feel as comfortable as possible with tools in my mouth. Although it took a bit of a wait they offered me water and checked up on my very often to show they care.

I have very bad anxiety about going to the dentist, especially when needing a lot of work done; but Dr. Keith Gerber at Gentle Dental definitely showed me that their is no false advertisement in the name of their dental office! I felt absolutely no pain and even fell asleep while getting the work done, without laughing gas or any sedative, which was very shocking to me considering my anxiety/fright of going to have dental work done. The staff was also very friendly and answered every question that I had thoroughly! I will definitely not go to another dentist after being blessed enough to find this one!! ABSOLUTELY 10/10 RECOMMEND!!!!

I had an excellent experience. I came in for the appointment and everyone was friendly. I was very comfortable and left happy.
