I am taking my mother here. She is only 58 but in a wheelchair for the last year. She can't see or move that well anymore. They made my mom feel very comfortable and welcome. They even had a therapy dog in training!

This was my 6mo. checkup and cleaning. I had this,"shadowing" hygienist (aka just out of school) who was a train wreck. She hit me in the side of the face numerous times while doing my x-rays and stepped on my foot. She didn't know how to run the xray machine. I had the gadget in my mouth so long it was making me drool. When she cleaned my teeth, it was painful. I've never had my teeth cleaning be painful until this day. I finally knocked her hand away and told her she was done. Fortunately, this gal will be working at the West Des Moines location, so I won't have to deal with that ever again. I've been a patient at least 5 years. I've never had pain like this for a simple cleaning. LOVE Dr. Joe and the "regular" hygienist. P.S. I DID complain during AND after.

My husband received new dentures and absolutely love them and the dentist. However, I am totally discouraged by their billing practices. We paid them cash which I will never do again. Then when the EOB from the insurance came there was an adjusted amount and I have yet to get refunded. I keep getting the run around and then told to call the HQ office, all I get is a recording that tells me to call my local office for billing issues and hangs up on me. I've had to resort to putting a complaint on BBB website and this review and hope someone takes care of this before I file with small claims court.

I am very unhappy with the staff in Ankeny, Ia. I went in when my dentures were done, the bottom ones we loose fitting and the top ones were so tight after having them in for about 5-10 minutes the staff came back and it took forever to get the tops out. Finally when they did my gums were bleeding. I took my new dentures and left and never went back. About a year now and my new dentures just sit in the container. Terrified even thinking about going back to Ankeny.

Smh. I called in for a few questions and the lady on the phone was sooo rude and thought I was done after one question saying thanks bye. I said excuse me?! Then.... My man (he is black) went in for the first time and the front desk lady didn’t even greet him but greeted the three men that were in front of him! But instead got asked in a loud manner “do you have insurance” like she was assuming he didn’t... BEFORE he even got to the desk as he was waiting further back ... rude. Never going back there. He was not satisfied at all and is still in pain!!! All they care about is their payments and making sure their patients are getting billed! They didn’t really offer any other payment options or tried to be helpful. And please replace the front desk lady!

The dentist and other employees at Aspen on SE 14th are wonderful, helpful, courteous, respectful and so very kind. I would refer other friends and family to this location, but not the Merle Hay Road location where our treatment was totally opposite. Thank you SE 14th Aspen for exceptional service!!!!!😊 We truly appreciate you and your service.

I don't believe I will be recommending or using this dental office again. my husband drove and hour and a half for an appointment only for the office to be CLOSED. Guess small town service really is best

This location has by far the WORST customer service. We have gone in on 5 different occasions for a scheduled appointment just to be told excuse after excuse. The correct dentist is NEVER there and Invisalign trays are never ready when they are suppose to be. Wasting everyone’s time and money!! A 9 month Invisalign process that’s going on for a year. Not a good place at all. Once were done with Invisalign we will NOT be back.

Very poor customer service. Showed up for an apt only to be told they needed to reschedule. No warning, no explanation and no apology. Missed work only to have to take more time for the following day. They texted to set up and confirm but not to cancel. Very inconsiderate.
