Aspen Dental

Driving 50 miles was not worth the time or the expense I incurred being seen at Aspen Dental. They couldn't do a thing for me and made an appointment for me with a specialist for further care. The dentist at Aspen diagnosed my problem and told me exactly what need to be done at the specialist. After a weekend of extreme pain I traveled to the specialist for my appointment only to discover that I did not have an appointment to perform the procedure. They did proceed with an evaluation after which I was told that the Aspen dentist was wrong concerning treatment and that I would be needing much more extensive work. I wish that I had not wasted my time and money. Had I been advised correctly I could have followed up with my local dentist.

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS OFFICE! I got an appointment for 23rd June two weeks ago. I needed to leave Iowa but decided to wait until my appointment date. I respected the date which is given to me, I didn't try to reschedule it for earlier date. Today, 22nd June, 1 day before than my appointment date I'm told that they need to reschedule my appointment due to Covid-19 for 20th July, 1 month later than the original appointment!! When I got this appointment, there
was many cases in Iowa and it was already pandemic. Nothing has been changed but my appointment date.

I don't have any problem with my dentist. I have full respect to my great Hungarian hygienist from here! She was great, 5 Star for her!

I made my travel plan based on this appointment, I should supposed to leave Iowa after tomorrow. Who is going to recover my loss right now? You have to respect your appointments or find a way to recover your patients' losses in some way. Otherwise, don't just say "sorry" and don't use Covid-19 as an excuse. Covid-19 was with us since the beginning of this year. You had an enough time to find a way for that. I am not that person who is making everything problem, I am flexible person. My hair stylist also rescheduled my appointments so many times but not for 1 month later!!!

The dentist was great the first time I went in, but the rest of my experience's with the front desk were very frustrating. The first time I went in, I had scheduled an appointment I was forgotten about and didn't get in about an hour after I was scheduled. A few weeks later I received a bill in the mail from Aspen Dental with an amount due so I called in and Brenna at the front desk which is the same person that checked me in for my first appointment and took all my paperwork answered. I was advised I would be getting a call back and never did, I called back the next day and was advised the same, that they would call me back, and again... never did. I then called my insurance company and they had to personally call Aspen dental and ask for the claim information their selves. Six months down the road I call in to schedule an appointment two weeks ahead of time and I speak to the same person as last time. I scheduled my appointment for 4pm, I received a confirmation email saying my appointment was scheduled for 3:45pm. Then, the day before my scheduled appointment I received a call asking if it was ok to move my appointment time to 2:30pm. I replied no because I am not off work in time to make it. I asked if there was something wrong and Brenna advised she would need to move some appointments around to fit me in at 4pm, when I had already scheduled my appointment two weeks prior to this date for 4pm. I never received a call back instead the my day of my appointment I receive a text reminder letting me know my appointment was changed to 4:15pm. Very disorganized, it was the most frustrating customer service experience I have ever received. Unfortunately I have had enough and will not be returning because no customer should have to go through frustration situations like I did, just to schedule a cleaning.

Had my routine cleaning yesterday. The hygienist was awesome, very professional, and each of the staff was friendly and courteous! I walked in and was in the chair in 5 minutes! Keep up the great work!

It took me about a week and a half to find a dentist office to take me in and when Aspen took me in every single one of the workers was polite very helpful honest and truly sincere for us because of those women that work at that office on the southside of Des Moines that's where I'll go for now on

Went back to Aspen Dental for the first time in 3 years and they were just as friendly and caring as I remembered. They were professional and listened to my concerns, took care of my problem and gave me an estimate up front so there’s no surprises when the work is done. Great place!

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!! Took my boyfriend here to have a tooth extracted and was treated terribly by some of the staff. The only reason I gave two stars was because the dentist himself was very helpful, compassionate and educational. The nurse we dealt with had zero bed side manner and an attitude beyond what her britches could hold. She was nasty, disrespectful, very “I know what I’m talking about don’t question me”...downright unkind!!! We won’t be going back. It’s no wonder they are offering free exam and X-ray...probably have to to get people to come there!

Joe the dentist is an awesome dentist! He did a great job and was very quick! No messing around just got the job done!! Yes highly recommend him and Aspen:) YES...you will smile after he is done!! I can’t believe I am happy the morning after. 👍Dr. Joe

Best place to get dental work, super friendly and nice. Got us right in quickly..best dentist care ever experienced! Love that they have TV in the waiting room and music playing in the back.

I had a very good experience. Everything was very well explained right down to Ashlee explaining the x-rays. Everyone was very nice. Dr Joe was very nice and very thorough with my exam plan but not pushy about anything that needed to be done, even future needs. Dr Formanek that actually pulled my broken tooth was very personable and caring. She was awesome. I plan to return to the Southside location for my future needs and would definitely recommend them to my friends.
