Aspen Dental

Aspen Dental was highly recommended to me, and I want to know why?? Especially considering they are rude, dentist was in lala land, inconsiderate, didn't believe I have a debilitating illness that erodes my teeth and causes bone loss even though his hygienist stated I did have bone loss. Dentist and staff need to learn empathy. Money sucking individuals. Never would recommend!

The nurses and doctors are very friendly! I went to a previous dentist about a tooth. That dentist said that I could keep the tooth in and I didnt trust what that dentist said. So my boyfriend reccomened Aspen and the doctor took one look at my tooth and said that it needed to come out! Good thing she did too cause the tooth was rotting!

My experience Aspen Dental what's being comfortable all the staff were very helpful and the. He did such a great job and the doctor did a great job as well as an old pain and I was in and out

On Monday, August 8th I had my upper teeth removed. Everything went as scheduled. I was very happy with all explanations and care given to me by the staff and Dr's during that surgery. The post-op the next day was also good. I highly recommend Aspen Dental on SE 14th. I have found my new, caring dentist!

Staff was pleasant. Staff explained procedures well. I was a little frustrated with the lack of willingness to explore other payment options with me that my insurance could not cover as I did require treatment for an infection. I understand that certain procedures have to be followed but going "above and beyond" for customer service might have included a willingness to refer to other dentists in price range, especially for someone that needs to have treatment. The process up to this point was exceptional, unfortunately when that last contact is made and there is not that exceptional customer service it doesn't leave you with a high respect for the company as a whole and as a first time customer. I left there feeling embarassed and as if I am only numbers (money) to them and not an individual asking for help (which I asked for more than once). I will be contacting another dentist to help me take care of the issue I presented to Aspen Dental that failed to take care of a PATIENT and instead ensured their money was secured for services already done- free xray and exam for new patients with NO cleaning. Apparently false advertising as well. I do not recommend them to anyone.

They were awesome. Once you get in it's like a flawless machine. I had no problems feeling welcomed or safe. Loved the staff, great time, great people, great experience.

Sent me home with dentures tha just plain don't fit. Nor even close. Ther just fall out. Spent a lot of money for immediate dentures to not look stipid in publlic and now i cant wear them . how useless. I would have never gotten this done without immediate dentures... That fit.

I may have been a little quick on my judgement here. With follow up appointments thing have been better. Thanks to a soft realign my dentires fit now. I have also been told that my permanent Comfylytes with fit much better when the time comes. This is a process and it takes time.

I have had good experiences so far with Aspen Dental on the south side of Des Moines. The staff and dentist were both very nice and I feel comfortable with having my dental work done there. The hygienist cleaned my teeth and they looked and felt great.

Like many people I don't like going to the dentist, mainly because I have an extremely sensitive mouth bit when Dr. Joe started numbing my mouth I was very impressed with his gentle hand at numbing my mouth and when I felt like it wasn't enough he gladly stopped and added more.
I went in to have 2 teeth pulled with my anxiety so high that my heart felt as if it was pounding out of my chest and by the time I was finished I was completely relaxed and so numb that I felt nothing but pressure and that was a true blessing for me as many other dentists have left me in nothing but pain just don't seem to care about the pain you might be in while getting work done.
Only problem I think I have with them is they seem a little pricey but for hands like Dr. Joe and the care he has for his patients, I'll pay the price.

I went in almost two years ago for the veteran free day of dental care and was charged to have my upper teeth removed. They did such a horrible job that I ended up needing oral surgery to fix broken bone and root tips they left in, also drilling through my sinus cavity. After telling corporate about this they said they would fit me with a denture for my troubles but now almost two years later I still don’t have a denture that fits in my mouth and paid for what was supposed to be a day of free care for vets. This has been the worst dental experience of my life and I’m still paying for it. I’d also like to mention they pulled 12 teeth in one sitting, I had to ask multiple time to numb me back up because it was so painful and violent and when I was done they refused any pain meds. I ended up having to go to the veterans hospital emergency room the same day to get pain meds. If you’re in the Des Moines area please don’t make the same mistake I did, go to a real dentis
