This is the worst business in the tri-cities. I really believe they cheat everyone that walks through the door. Don't ever finance dental work through this company. And don't expect to walk in for something as simple as a filling or a cleaning. I was coerced into a "deep cleaning" and told that I had infection in my gums, even though they weren't hurting or sore at all. They told me that I had bacteria in my blood stream, and if I was trying to have children in the future that it would limit my chances. Also, I'd get heart disease and cancer unless I took care of that immediately. This company needs to be shut down! They're as crooked as it gets! You better believe I got a second opinion!

I had gone to the office off of volunteer parkway several days ago because all four of my wisdom teeth are in, and I have been in so much pain that at that time I hadnt slept in 5 days. Obviously I wasn't at 100%. I wrote down my name, as I had been there once before for an exam and how much it would be to have them extracted over a year ago, but never had it done. Since then my information had all been updated, new phone number, new address, and I actually had insurance. They took forever to find my file because it was misplaced I told the lady I had insurance and what I had, moments later she said it was going to be $114. I was thinking "hey not bad" after I reviewed my dental plans, while waiting almost 2 hours in the lobby. They called me back to do the X-rays. Dr. Whoever he was, walked in and asked if I was ready to have those teeth pulled. He then walked out and got the office manager. She said it's going to be $687 to have them pulled. I said "what is my insurance covering? " in a very sarcastic and demeaning tone "well I guess they are going to cover half of it" I said what was the $114 for, which she responded in the same manner, " I guess that was for the X-rays and exam, but you'll need to talk to the receptionist" so I go back to the front, the lady at the desk proceeds to tell me that yes it's for the X-rays and exam, and I had no insurance on file. I know I was in horrible agony, because of these dang teeth, and I don't know how to do her job. But never once did they bother to update my information, address, contact number, insurance, nothing. At this point I've handed her my insurance card and the office manager walks up and asks if there was an issue. Yes, yes there's an issue. I wasn't given new paper work to fill out for ALL of my update information. I haven't been able to eat or sleep, I've missed several days of work, and your employee doesn't know how to do her job. The office manager handed me my check back. Since this was at roughly 11:55(ish) and they close at 12 on Friday, I needed to reschedule. I told her that I will find another dentist. Tuesday I went to another dentist who was able to refer me to an oral surgeon and am having these teeth removed tomorrow. The dentist himself was a very polite gentleman, and seemed to be worried about the pain I was having. And if you aren't in pain and know where they keep their paper work and are able to make a copy of your insurance card, I would recommend them.

I have severe anxiety and fear of the dentist . Walking into Aspen in Bristol I felt welcomed and comfortable from the first moment. I highly recommend them to anyone. So pleased I went there.

They are very through & friendly!! I feel they went above and beyond to help me, as I needed a tooth pulled before I can have my knee surgery! I just moved to the area 2 mo. ago & was not a regular patient either!!! Needless to say, I am now!! To top it all, Dr. Carle pulled the tooth & I didn't feel a thing!!!
I recommend Aspen Dental, totally!!

The original appointments were great and they really helped me out when it came to pricing. I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed on Thursday. The staff was very friendly, and Dr. Sandford was absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately, its now Saturday and I think I have dry sockets in both my lower teeth holes. It took a little while to get a response from the emergency number, but Dr. Sandford called me back himself. I explained to him the issues that I was having and I have confidence that he is going to do whatever he can to help me.

The only thing that I can think of when it comes to improving is the aftercare explanation. They handed my driver a little bag with directions, prescriptions, gauze, a cold pack, and a syringe for water. So it seemed like we would have everything covered. Except there are things that aren't in the directions that seem common sense, unless you don't know anything about oral surgery care. For example, to help prevent dry sockets you shouldn't spit or rinse for the first 24 hours. Well, my instructions didn't mention anything about spitting and only said to not rinse "vigorously." So after the three hours of gauze time, I rinsed and spat regularly because the tails of the sutures kept getting caught in my teeth which in turn caused bleeding. Now, after some WebMD because of the immense amout of pain, I know not to spit.
Even with the pain, I still have a lot of trust in my dental staff and definitely in Dr. Sandford. The only thing I would change, other than the dry sockets of course, would be that they need to really take time to explain aftercare. There are things that some people know without being told, but it never hurts to tell them anyway, just in case they don't. It could've saved me a lot of pain. I would still recommend Aspen and Dr. Sandford to anyone that needs oral health care.

I liked that they got my husband in quickly but on the phone I was told there was no charge for xray and consultation and to pull his tooth would be 85 dollars max. But when we got there I had to pay 19 dollars for xrays and I gave them a 20 dollar bill and was told they didnt have change to give me back which would have only been a dollar. Then they told my husband it would be over 200 hundred dollars to pull his tooth. Needless to say he had to just come back home because we didnt have that kind of money. So now its the weekend and he is in pure misery with his tooth. We will go back to have the tooth pulled because they already have the xrays. I didnt have any problem with anyone being rude they all seemed very nice but we should have been told the truth about the cost.

My appointment was at 4 and I sat in the waiting room till 4:40. They took X-rays and then I had to go back to the waiting room till almost 6pm then got called back and sat there for another 30 mins talked to someone for 10 mins they left and I sat there for another 20 mins doctor came in asked me the same questions as the other person did.. didn’t even look in my month then left. I had to get up and find someone to ask if I could leave it was almost after 7! Spent 3 hours there and was seen for 30 mins..... not going back

When u do a consultation, the dentist should turn to you and talk to you directly, not talk away from you. I didnt hear one thing he said and had to ask him to repeat himself numerous times.I diffently won't be back, I wasn't happy with the whole experience at Aspen. I'd give no star but I had click something.

This is by far the best dentist office that I have been to considering I have had way to many horror experiences. I went in thinking I would just have my teeth pulled and they said there was no way at my age and considering every thing could be fixed. And also explain why I have problems numbing my teeth at other offices........(the pain) I see Dr. Carl and will continue to drive the 2hrs one way...... oh yeah the office manager is awsome and the rest of the team...... they just understand....

Went to Aspen Dental this morning for a teeth cleaning and was told I owed them $175 before even being taken to the back for the work. When I asked why I needed to pay (I knew that annual cleanings are covered by my dental insurance) I was told that the dentist had ordered some special cleaning and whitening procedure. I told them NO. I am here for a plain cleaning and that's all. The young lady did not know what to do so she went to the back and after a few minutes came back told me that they refused to just simply clean my teeth and that I owed them the $175. I again told her NO. I told her to give me my x-rays because I was going elsewhere and would not be back to this office and would not be bullied by anyone trying to extract money from me for unwanted services. ‪#‎AspenDentalTerribleCustomerService‬ ‪#‎AspenDentalBulliesPatients‬ ‪#‎AspenDentalEngagesinUnethicalPractices‬
