Aspen Dental

Extremely nice and helpful staff. I called Monday morning for an emergency exam and they got me in Thursday. First thing in the morning. I have to have all of my teeth removed prior to going to Aspen dental. They helped me with a payment plan that is adjusted to how much I can pay. And they are also pulling all of my teeth and setting me up with a great pair of dentures. Their dental hygienist Mother Teresa and DR Phung Johnson along with all of their other staff. Make for the best dental office in Johnson City. I will only recommend Aspen dental for now on.

I did not have a good experience with this place. Financially, they are deceptive. They claim to have "payment plans", but what they really offer are predatory credit cards with outrageous interest rates. They will also give you an amount, claiming insurance covers the rest, have you pay upfront, then send you enormous bills for additional costs after you already paid them thousands. I understand insurance covering less than the estimate, but the way it was presented sounded as if the estimate was a definite amount. It may be legal, but it is extremely deceptive.

On the dental side I can't say it's much better. The doctor is rushed, unprofessional, and frequently does things without numbing or before the numbing is in effect. I will however say that the hygienists are lovely. I had a veneer put on in May and it popped off while eating a sandwich in October. Veneers are meant to last years.

Overall, I would say go somewhere else and get a loan for your work if you can't afford it upfront.

Wonderful staff. Clearly prioritized my concerns, well-being, and dental health, over everything else. It never felt like my hand was being being forced, and they were incredibly patient and willing to talk me through everything before I proceeded. It is a demanding line of work, and yet everyone I talked to was kind and exhibited a great deal of professional integrity.

Being someone who has a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist, and who has also had negative experiences at other offices, it was a really affirming experience.

I was lucky to get a fast appointment. The check in process was fast and easy. X-rays were done, seen hygienist and dentist. Treated amazing and have started the process to get dentures. I'm very impressed with the entire staff. Thanks for being so nice and very quick.

I had a great experience! Was hesitant on looking for a new dentist office to go to but I’m really happy I chose Aspen Dental! Every single staff member I came in contact with from reception the second I walked through the door, all the way to the Office Manager at the end of my visit were super awesome!! Daryl, Teresa and Destiny just to name a few specifically . (Only names I remember). Very knowledgeable and informative at what they do.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS unless you want the worst dental experience you can possibly have. Reception over the phone is very nice but as soon as you get here, you'll see why they need to advertise. Your experience will start late; the x-ray tech will not know how to deal with medical accommodations; you will receive a lot of unnecessary imaging and an interminable session on hygiene; spend less than 5 minutes with the dentist who could not care less or be out of there fast enough; and straight to billing who believes talking to you in a high, Disney-esque voice only dogs can hear will make you agree to the $$$$ they want you to pay. The "cheap" and "free" offers are only to get you in the door. There are many real dentists in Johnson City. Go to one of them instead.

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Very compassionate. The wait for an appointment was crazy but thats not their fault. They went over everything with me that needed to be done and broke down the cost (before insurance vs. after) so I knew exactly what I would have to pay before having any work done and answered all my questions.

The morning before Thanksgiving I developed a dental emergency. Aspen gave me an immediate appointment. I was not a patient there. I am now! My devastating dental issue was fixed and appointments made to further repair my smile. The lab tech stayed. The financial advisor stayed. They both stayed after hours to make me whole again. They saved my Thanksgiving and lifted my spirits. I’d recommend this business to anyone and everyone.

Super friendly staff! Everyone was really nice, informative, and time efficient. Daryl and Theresa were the best technicians I’ve ever had! Overall a very pleasant experience, which is not how I normally feel about dentist visits lol

Wonderful kind hearted people. Darrel you are the best! Thank you for making me feel better and comforting me. The ladys at the front desk thank you for doing your very best to get me in when my pain was at a 10. I will definitely be back!
