River Run Dental

I’ve been here for exam and cleaning and they were very thorough in examining my entire mouth and explaining the issues I had and always made sure I was comfortable since I said I have anxiety issues. I had dental work done today as well. Very friendly and very nice people. I used to always be nervous going to the dentist but here I feel welcome, the place definitely has a spa relaxation vibe, which is great for feeling calm. Nice long big windows so you won’t feel claustrophobic as well. I’ll be coming here for any future visits. Amy and Dr Masood we’re great

I liked River Run Dental initially, but after being a client for several years now, I’m really not impressed. All the nice amenities stop appearing once you’re a repeat patient it seems - I haven’t been given a “menu” for a year+ and there’s all these review mentioning massage chairs and I certainly have never had one. All of that doesn’t really matter overall though, it’s negative experiences that have made me hesitant to continue receiving care here. I’ve had a crown where the bite was off so significantly it ended up causing significant damage to another tooth. I had to bring this up twice in office before anyone addressed it and by then it became a $2000 problem. I’ve brought up other issues in appointments as well that are just ignored, or forgotten. They certainly don’t ever forget to push Invisalign on me though, no matter how many times I say I can’t afford it (I can barely afford their normal bills!).

A major reason I began using this office in the first place is that I appreciated online booking - I have severe dental anxiety, even just calling the dentist I’ll panic and forget basic info, which is just embarrassing, so online booking is ideal. Now that isn’t available and I’ve been waiting months for someone to respond to my several emails requesting an appointment to get temporary work finished. I know it’s busy at the end of the year, but my first message was the beginning of November and it’s now January.

Despite all of that, most of the dentists I’ve seen have been very good during the actual treatment and seem to actually care about making the experience as not-awful as possible. That makes up for a LOT of other negatives, but I don’t know for how long.

Just had my first appointment with River Run, and they were amazing! I had a lot of questions about my dental care, because it had been a while since I'd seen a dentist, but they were kind and respectful throughout the whole appointment.

River Run makes it a point to make their patients feel comfortable and valued, and I really appreciated that!

I was impressed with the sleek, modern appearance of the facility and the cutting-edge technology used during my visit. This was a welcome surprise as I had not experienced this level of attention and care since I left Germany. The staff was attentive, friendly and professional. Overall, my experience was better than anticipated and I look forward to returning in the future.

I have been a patient of this office for over a decade before it was bought out by River Run. My last 6 month appointment they told me they could not fit me in until nearly a month after my desired window (I'm a school teacher and have two weeks in December I can fit in any time or day). They told me they had NOTHING for me until mid January. I get two days prior and they cancelled my appointment due to an 'emergency with my provider' - as if they don't have two major locations with dozens of hygienists who can do a routine cleaning. I don't even know the name of my hygienists because every time I go in for the past two years it's a different person. This office does not value relationships and is just overbooking tons of patients to maximize profit. I am done and will be finding a better office that can uphold commitments to loyal patients.

This place used to be great. We recommended them to everyone. In the last year, they’ve either become too busy or are just losing customer service skills. Now it’s all frills and no real medical care specific to the patient. I requested a standard cleaning (instead of deep because deep clean isn’t allowed while in third trimester of pregnancy) and they wouldn’t perform a standard cleaning! They advised me to come back for deep clean after I wasn’t pregnant which would be in three months! So instead of getting a standard clean as I requested I now have to wait six months for a cleaning?!? I have moved to another provider since this isn’t care that’s responsive to the patient. It’s all about the $$$.

From the time I walked into the building, to my interaction with the Hygenist,who explained in detail what my expectation should be during the visit, to the wonderful beside manner of the Dentist and the meeting with the treatment plan coordinator, I felt welcomed. I feel that I can leave my dental health in capable hands. One of the best Dental office experiences I have had.
I can recommend them from just my initial impressions.

I chose River Run after hearing great things from a friend who is terrified of the dentist. I am not afraid of the dentist, but I was ashamed that it had been over ten years since my last visit to one. They were so incredibly kind and took care to choose their words so that I never felt shamed or embarrassed for neglecting my dental care routine. They focused on what we could improve going forward rather than dwell on mistakes I had made in the past.
I had cavities filled in March 2022 and they took the time to ensure I was comfortable through the whole process. They are so transparent about what is going to happen and why. Highly, highly recommend.

Last September I had a tooth that cracked and had to get in to put a crown on it immediately. They were able to get in next day and the permeant crown was put in the following week. At the end of October the crown fell off, not crack, it fell out completely. I called and explained the situation and was seen the next day to have it refitted and put back in place. The dentist and hygienist were really nice about explaining what might have happened (the cement hadn't set properly and it just degraded over time). All of this was a very kind and good experience, however I have to give them a one star after what happened next.

Because it was their fault that the crown had come off I assumed that I wouldn't be charged, I have insurance and when I scheduled the visit no talk of finances was done. Indeed when I checked out at the desk the receptionist said that everything was fine and I did not need to speak to anyone regarding finances or billing. Two weeks later my wife gets a call from the office saying that she has an "outstanding bill." Keep in mind she was not the one that went anywhere near the office in the first place. We have had issues with them talking to my wife instead of me as the account holder, my phone number is on the account and everything. With her explaining that she is not the patient, I reached out to the office.

The first number I called, listed on Google, was disconnected. I called a number from the website and was directed to an answering service. I left a message and was contacted via text to "ask me about my problem." Seems that if someone had just answered the p hone it would have been faster. Explaining my problem to the automatic system I was told that someone named Kaylee was going to contact me.

Not hearing anything from anyone for a few days I attempted to call the number again and was again directed to an answering service that no one picks up. I sent a message through the website and still nothing. I have not received a bill from them, however they are harassing my wife saying that she owes them money when I am the patient. Terrible customer service, no accountability and clearly doesn't care about patient confidentiality. I will not be returning anytime soon.

I absolutely HATE dentists! River Run has changed my whole outlook. The Boutique experience is second to none! My hygienist Amy was so gentle and knowledgeable. She walked me through every detail, and made me feel comfortable, safe and part of the family. The icing on the cake....Dr. Sinclair was amazing!!! Thank you River Run!!!!
