Everyone was very nice and professional. They explained all future procedures and gave me a detailed cost after insurance. Wish I had found them years ago.

Amidst the Covid 19 pandemic, the staff at the Dothan, AL location when above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable and informed about the comprehensive care plan that they created specifically for me and my needs. Kali (consultant) greeted me with a warm smile and was very patient throughout the entire process. This was so refreshing because not everyone in health care has this kind of demeanor when dealing with patients. Hannah (dental assistant) got my morning off to a good start. She's a great listener and a really sweet person. We could have talked all day. Becky (Hygienist) was excellent. She made sure that I was comfortable throughout my procedure and she offered great conversation. I tried hard not to laugh and smile while her hands and tools were in my mouth! Dr. Patchett is someone that I look forward to working with as I venture into recovering my smile. Wrapping this review up, I would recommend The Aspen Dental here in Dothan, AL to anyone. Their Smiles, service, and care were tom notch!!! 5 stars

Amazing and caring staff. They explained everything in detail and answered any and all questions and concerns I had. They went above and beyond so that I would not have make the 2 hours drive back more than needed and were able to get my dental services financed so that i could get the work needed done without delay.

Had work done a year ago, they sent me a bill a year later saying my insurance coverage was terminated. Not true, and, they never contacted me about it to try to resolve the issue. Maybe sending a patient a bill is easier than talking to the insurance? On calling, they said I'd be sent to collections without paying up in the next 30 days. The worst part is that the person who did my original work I later learned was fired for ominous interactions with customers. I also later learned from the next hygienist on follow up, that I never really needed the expensive procedure in the first place. So-- apparently I never needed a procedure that I got, then they haven't figured out how to bill my insurance company for all of this the entire past year! A total mess! I've called my insurance company and they say noone has spoken with them, nor have they received any claims. Before you get work at Aspen Dental in Dothan, you better get a second opinion, AND pay with cash only, otherwise you'll be taken advantage of, and surprised with an unpaid bill a year later! Please fix!

Whoa Ashley

I was in my 3rd trimester of pregnancy on my first visit. It went well enough, but I did not have a good experience on subsequent visits. It is apparent that the dentist and oral surgeon do not communicate with one another here. Im not sure anyone communicates effectively at this practice. I'm not pleased with my care, or lack there of. There were discrepancies and mistakes on their part because of the lack of communication and what I can only imagine was a poor review of my file. The oral surgeon did not know I was seen by the dentist that is employed there, did not know she had tried unsuccessfully to extract my infected tooth(which is why I was seeing him), and did not know I was no longer pregnant (even though I filled out my health form days before, stating this). Because of the poor communication I was left to only assume what the oral surgeon was going to do. I assumed he would do one of two things: use nitrous oxide or put me to sleep for the extraction. So, I did not eat or drink anything starting the night before the appointment. I paid the agreed upon amount and waited for my services. The oral surgeon informed me that he had made a mistake in not knowing that the dentist there had already been "mucking around in there" as he put it. He told me I would have to pay an additional fee for him to do one of two things: nitrous oxide(he was not comfortable with doing that) or sedation. Just as I thought, I had two options, and I was lead to believe the agreed upon payment I gave them would cover this. When I did not have the additional fee I was given the option of being referred to a local surgeon. I still have not received information on this. I did receive part of my money back and will get the rest in the mail. I'm left scratching my head and with a throbbing infected tooth!!

The workers are very nice and respectful and I like the way they carrying themselves treat patients and they try to help you if they can the only thing I am disappointed about they don't take Medicaid and that's all us elderly people's have is medical but I don't blame them for that but I would tell others people's about them because they are very nice workers that try help the. Patients and I will be coming back soon thank you for your service
