Zero stars. After waiting for nearly three hours just for a cleaning as a new patient, I was taken to the manager's office to go over charges. They refused to do my cleaning because I didn't want to do a gingivitis treatment for $175.00 (for one very small area on my gums). They acted surprised that I said that was a lot of money for me right now and I wanted to decline it and just get my cleaning. So they refused to clean my teeth unless I got the treatment. Now they are going to charge my insurance for the 18 x-rays! they took for a new patient and a 3D scan that God only knows what they charge for.
This place is only interested in making money.
And for what it's worth, I have beautiful, well maintained teeth. This was a very disappointing visit and the manager was extremely unprofessional and belittling, even telling me my teeth could fall out. Couldn't be farther from the truth.....

2022 update: Once again fillings they took out and replaced without my permission are once again causing more issues for my teeth and for me financially. There are plenty of better places in Columbus. Do not go here.
3 year update: One of the fillings they did in my mouth came out randomly while flossing. I have never had a filling come out before, and am in immense pain. They ruined my teeth, do not let them ruin yours.
Also, I was never contacted by the dental office as suggested to be done so in the response by owner. This is just a corporate chain dental office. They are here to make money, not so much fix your teeth.
Over many years I have had to have many cavities filled. Most of them locally have been done by Dr. Polk, who has done an excellent job for me over 10 years. However, my family finally decided we would move to a new dentist's office. We tried Aspen, and for some things it was OK. However, I have just finished having my cavities filled today, and it is the worst experience I have ever had with cavities filled. The girl filling them was shaking everything in my mouth, causing my gums to be torn up, and now I have lots of bleeding. She purposely was shaking my mouth as well when putting in the anesthetic, causing the needle to hurt more. Overall, for cleanings they are nice, but I would stay away for anything else. If anything, the feeling that there was a lack of confidence, as seen by her extremely shaking motions made me feel very nervous for the first time in a dentist's office. My family will not be returning.

They are always friendly, polite, and very professional. If there is a problem they do their best to rectify the situation. I’ve been visiting Aspen Dental in Columbus, GA for two years now, I have not had any issues with the work they’ve done.

I went into the office on 6-27-2022 for what I thought was just a follow appointment to have a scan done for the creation of a new bottom partial denture. When I signed in - I was told that I'd have to pay another $1500+ dollars on top of the $1500 + I'd already paid to cover a treatment plan that was supposed to cover some periodontal treatments and a new bottom partial. Due to unexpected circumstances involving a tooth that had to be removed because it was "accidentally" broken off by a tech trying to remove a temporary crown - the partial had to be changed to now include an additional tooth so that it would fit and be functional. I supposedly was not charged for the unexpected extraction, however I was not told before that morning that there were going to be additional charges.
I had spoken to people in the office a couple of times before I went in that morning, to confirm my appointment date and time, however no one said anything about my having to pay more money at this point. I got up, got dressed and drove to the office expecting to get the scan done so that my permanent partial could be made. After the surprise announcement - I asked to talk with the financial manager. I told her that no one had told me that I'd have to pay MORE money and I wanted to know what it was for. She explained at that point that it was for a different style partial denture. I was not prepared to pay any additional money that morning, so I left. I did eventually go back a month later, used my Care Credit account to pay more money - ONLY - because I decided that I want to have the bottom partial created by the same office that did my top denture. I am currently waiting for the permanent denture. Dentistry is a business - like everything else- so buyer beware! Implants, Invisalign - all of these things are big now and super profitable! They are being promoted like electric cars and I see that I have to use the same scrutiny and economic common sense for getting dental work done as I would in choosing a car.
I am sure that there is an incentive to the office for a patient using Care Credit to pay for dental services. I am thankful for the fact that my new partial should be ready sometime in August (I don't know when - no one has told me yet), but at least I know that I created a new bill paying for it!

I'm very disappointed with my New Patient visit on 2/11/19 at 10:45 am.
1. I wasn't called back until 11:10.
2. The initial technician was not very friendly.
3. After seeing the dentist, I was to see the office manager to review the course of treatment and the cost/financial options. I waited for over 30 minutes, the office manager never came to see me.
The only bright spot, the dentist. She was great!
Aspen dental doesn't seem to want my business.
I left and I doubt that I will return.

Went to Aspen dentist and they diagnosed me with a cracked tooth But I could not have any work done that day Because of my insurance. So I told them that I will be getting new insurance in January that will cover everything. That was two weeks ago. So I'm in a lot of pain so I just called them back and ask for something for pain. The doctor said nothing would help with my pain because it's chipped and she said to rotate IB and Tylenol and I can't take IB. But if nothing will not help my pain then why tell me to take over the counter meds. I will not be returning to this dentist because they do not care about their patients. Spoke to someone from corporate very nice lady said she was going to call them and find out why I was treated like this and I never heard from her again. I will never be back to any of there locations.

I haven't been to the dentist in a long while due to insurance... So I was expecting some issues. They told me I had cavities in my smile line and needed 3 root canals. Wow. Had me crying in my car. They gave the vibe of being all about money too. Fast forward a month I was able to change places due to insurance and this time I was told there's no cavities in my smile line and the "root canals" were just in need of fillings.
This suits well for what I've heard about this place before so be aware!

Aspen Dental definitely lives up to their reputation. A bunch of crooks! I went for a teeth cleaning. After x-rays and an exam they sent me back to schedule my teeth cleaning, said I had a slight case of paradontal disease, said it would be over $500 and 2 separate visits for my cleaning and tried to tell me I needed Invisalign. I didn't proceed with s***. I went to my original dentist and paid out of pocket for my teeth cleaning. Both my dentist and the assistant said they (Aspen Dental) lied to me and that my teeth and gums are just fine. How is Aspen Dental even in business!?!
