Fast easy service. The dentist and assistants were nice. The dentist cleaned my teeth and helped with discoloration. I recommend! I was a walk in.

Don't know why this place has bad reviews I had a good experience the wait wasn't even long dr k explained the whole process to me made me feel comfortable the whole time. She told me each thing she was doing it as she was doing it.

Overall it was a great visit besides the fact that I was given a paper and told I have to call to figure out where will take my insurance to get his baby teeth filled I thought u guys did that like my Dr does when they give me a referral they find me the place I need to go to so not sure why I'm haven to for the dentist and everyone I've talked to has said the same thing a referral is where they send his info to and then the place contacts me to go from there

Great office staff and orthodontist is awesome. I like how he puts the brackets on his self. We came from moline familia and they let the hygentist put them on. Orthodontist in Peoria cares a lot about his patients

Everyone was so nice. I had to have 4 teeth pulled, they got me in and out in an hour and I feel so much better.

I am only writing this because Familia Dental keeps sending me emails, hounding me to write a review. So, here it is...

Everything until the actual check-up and cleaning started was fine. The attendants at the front desk were friendly and the X-ray technician was personable and welcoming. However, that all went downhill. The dentist or his assistant did not introduce themselves. The assistant seemed to be reciting memorized lines, like "brush your teeth twice a day, after meals. Be sure to floss and use mouth wash." The dentist looked at my teeth real quick and told his assistant, "no cavities". Then, the cleaning started. The assistant told me that there would be "water going into my mouth and suction". During the cleaning, water and plaque and whatever else is in a person's mouth was splayed all over my face...during the entire cleaning. Never once was there an attempt to wipe my face or a "sorry". It was disgusting and rude. The dentist was very rough while cleaning my teeth, painfully rough, and quick, like he was trying to race to finish. He left immediately after he felt the cleaning was complete, without a word. The assistant tried to schedule me an appointment, but I declined and she told me that corporate would probably make an appointment for me and send me a message and that I could cancel it. The dentist never said anything to me until after the visit was finished, he popped his head in real quick to say a very speedy "thank you". I have been to several dentists within my lifetime and have gone through many, many routine cleanings and check-ups. This was not normal. This was the worst dental experience I have ever had. I can see why some people are afraid to go to the dentist with occurrences like this happening. I gave two stars only because the girls at the check-in desk and the X-ray technician were wonderful to interact with, the main point of going to a dentist, the dentist, was terrible though. I will not be returning.

my boyfriend went there and got all his teeth pulled, they gave him so much Novocaine that his tongue was numb for about a good 2 days. waited around 3 months for dentures that did not fit right, been waiting another 2 months to get them fixed. I went in to get a couple of teeth pulled and upon seeing the needle on the cart I had a anxiety attack because well im afraid of needles. It took me a good 15 minutes to calm down to where I was ready to get them done but before i could go back the dentist walked out and left for the day. i was told by several people there that they give the nitro gas (laughing gas) to help calm people down but when i went there the dentist told me that they dont do that and i would have to go somewhere else if i wanted that. the nurse in the room was very kind and understanding but the dentist, i forget his name, seemed like he was in a rush and just wanted to get out of there instead of doing his job. when he left for the day after i got calmed down there was still a good 30-35 minutes before they were set to close. they need to get dentists in there who actually want to do their job.

So update on this horrid place. I have been waiting for forever to get my dentures, the office called me this morning and the woman who left the message was rude and did not even say why she had called. Further more, when I went in for my second impressions the dentist was really rough with the impressions that my gums were hurting afterwards plus he was also very rude to the nurse. This is not the first time that I have had problems with this dentist but i'm thankfull that after i get my dentures that I will not have to go back and deal with him anymore. He is not a dentist that seems like he cares. I have tried to call the office 11 times today and even left a message, no one answers the phone and no one returned my call. I finally called customer service and she tried to call them but they never answered her call either. They really need to get people in that office that care about what they are doing and they need to replace that dentist with someone who cares. Once again, i'm not sure about the dentists name because he has never told me his name but it is a guy and he works on Saturday for sure because that is the only day that I can go in there.

I can say I had a good experience with familia I hate the dentist but I had a really good one his name is Dr.Choi if ya need a tooth pulled he’s your guy he does a great job and all the team at familia are very nice and understanding people

Update as of 2023 FAMILIA DENTAL IS A JOKE and complete NIGHTMARE!!! the entire office is unorganized!

as of 2020 Worst office.... they are super slow checking you in your appointment is never on time....i had so many issues with my insurance only to find out they didn’t even accept it....everything about this place is a complete hassle
