I went there because I got an abscess tooth. Had a bump and told them of pain. Instead of looking into they just cleaned my teeth then sent me a wisdom tooth extraction when my wisdom tooth wasn’t the issue. Then refer me to number that doesn’t work and I had to ASK for antibiotics and he didn’t call them in. the dentist was too lazy to check my problem. To expect them to help is futile.

Went to my appointment, everything went accordingly however familia dental needs to train their employees on how to have better customer service skills no matter the race of the patient. Being that I'm from Minnesota we are much more professional in the workplace maybe its just an Illinois thing... overall it would help to be kind some people already have fear of going to the dentist why make it more uncomfortable.

Grandson had his first visit to dentist not to long ago. Demetra was very good with him and made him comfortable during his visit. He loved her. Hope to have her again.

The office misquoted my insurance and sent a bill for double what the initial quoted filling work would cost.
My insurance has not changed for several years and I specifically asked them to confirm pricing prior to the work being completed.
I am now working with collections department, billing department, insurance company, and dental office to try and resolve this.
I have been informed that I am legally obligated to pay this bill due to the quote being only an estimate.
I would recommend going to an office that doesn't do shady things like this.
Edit: It gets worse. I decided to give the office the benefit of the doubt, as the dentists were friendly and professional, however, we just received a surprise bill again.
Visit was 9/18/21. Insurance covered their portion on 2/9/22. We received a bill that is marked past due with the billing date labelled as 12/31/22 and the email was not sent until 1/4/23.
We were told again that we are legally obligated to pay this and the bill is past due, so we had no choice but to pay it, and it was not a small amount of money.
PLEASE STEER CLEAR.

I appreciate the assistants that work there, but the lady dentist was rude. I had to request a different dentist bc her attitude sucked. Asked me a question & claimed I had an attitude over their lack of communication. I never got a receipt nor a prescription for pain medicine after getting my tooth pulled. Just told me to take ibuprofen for the pain & they’d call for me the other procedure. I was told one price which was fine, but never given paperwork for pricing just told verbally. I just felt like for the price I should've relieved a receipt plus paperwork stating price ect. I guess things change these days. I wish I could afford to go somewhere else, but it’s done now. SMH smh
