I was super nervous and scared just thinking about going to a dental office. But after family and friends shared their great experiences for people who are nervous or scared of dental offices. I decided to give Shamblott a try. The front office is awesome! They took care of all the insurance stuff. And my man Justin, go see him! He was able to calm me down by simplifying my treatment plan, and kindly answered any questions I had.

Had decent work done here for about 4 years before having a horrible experience. tl;dr Didn't have insurance at the time and was quoted over $2,000 for a tooth to get pulled, received horrible customer service throughout the whole experience from the namesake of this clinic.
A filling on my bicuspid from over a decade ago failed catastrophically and half of the tooth below the gumline fell off. I was initially told by 2 other doctors that the tooth could be saved for a root canal/crown. During that time period, I could really only afford for them to look at it and make sure nothing had gone horribly wrong. The third time I went in, Dr. Shamblott told me there was no way it could be saved and that it needed to be pulled.
I was fine with pulling it, but the lack of respect or any care at all on display was extremely disappointing. You'd think the namesake of this business would be better than the other dentists, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Every other dentist that I saw here showed concern and compassion for me besides Dr. Shamblott, who sounded and acted like he couldn't give a care if I dropped dead 2 steps out of his door. I'll give an extra star for all those other dentists. Even though they were probably faking it, that's a lot better than what I experienced in my last visit here.
In the end, I couldn't do the procedure at Shamblott as they quoted me $2,000 out-of-pocket since I was between jobs and didn't have insurance. Went to a small dentistry back home in South Minneapolis and they did it for less than half of that, all the while receiving exceptional customer service and a genuine human connection to boot. I'll be going back for an implant in a few months, but definitely not at Shamblott's as they've lost me as a customer. Take your money to a business owner that sees you as more than just an ATM.

I went a good 20 years without dental care due to some poor experiences when I was younger. As I recently turned 40, I decided that my health was something worth paying attention to, and subsequently decided that one of the first things I was going to do was revisit my dental health and resolve any issues I may have.
From my first outreach to Shamblott Family Dentistry, I was met with warmth and compassion. I explained up front that I had neglected my dental health due to my poor experiences. From my initial consultation and xrays, through periodontal cleaning, a number of fillings and most recently a root canal and crown, I have had fantastic experiences.
While I am still anxious about attending dental appointments, each time I have work done, I become less and less anxious, thanks to the caring touch of Shamblott dentists and staff.
Dr. De Llano has been absolutely fantastic as a dentist - she is thorough, gentle, and most importantly an extremely competent dentist. I'm so thankful to have found Shamblott Family Dentistry, and Dr. De Llano in particular. I look forward to continuing to work on improving my dental health, as much as anyone can look forward to dental work.

The usual kindness, and caring professionalism I drive 8 hours round-trip to experience! Scott has always had a unique blend of doctors and hygienists whose primary concern is your comfort while they deliver top shelf service! Used to like this place. Now they've canceled my appointment for crown placement for a third time. IF this procedure ever gets done, it will be my last visit to Shamblott. Also, they seem very expensive.

I cannot be more thankful for Shamblott Family Dentistry! I came in with a painful and difficult wisdom tooth that needed to be pulled and they got the job done the same day. The staff was very helpful, pleasant and informational about billing, procedures, etc. I went in miserable and came out wonderful. The procedure was painless and they gave me medications to help ease my explosive migraine due to my wisdom tooth! Life saver for sure. Would recondmend to anyone. 👏🏾 🙂🙌🏾😊

If I could give them 0 stars I would. They messed up my jaw so bad it hasn’t recovered in 3 years. When I got an infection from my wisdom teeth removal the surgeon ignored me and told me to heal. The owner (Dr.Shamblott) then saw me and said the same thing. I ended up in the ER the next day in need of IV antibiotics and oral surgery. They had to cut into my bottom jaw a few days after to deal with the infection because it was ignored by this clinic for so long.

I was very grateful to Dr. Shamblott for squeezing me in as I broke a tooth and it was sharp. He was able to provide relief and provide a plan to resolve this issue. The whole team there was so helpful and nice, as always. They have always been very thorough and reassuring, mindful that patients are sometimes concerned and nervous. I highly recommend this professional group!
