The Cicero Aspen Dental was awesome. Especially Thomas Reschke he took his time and made sure that my dental prosthetics were perfect and fit comfortably. My teeth look better than 100% real. THANKS THOMAS!

I was totally disappointed in the length of time we were there..Also when they tell you come in early and you still wait for 45 minutes is unacceptable. The x-ray tech was there by herself and this backed things up. The receptionist was nice and she explained all the pricing. I will see what happens on my next visit.

If you are thinking of going to this aspen dental in cicero don’t waste your time , because they don’t have time for you.
I think they are very overwhelmed with customers and can’t keep hygienists.
Just today they told me they have to reschedule because of a hygienist is not available (this would be my 3rd time it happened) I would have to call back on Monday and reschedule between 7 and 9 am. because appointments fill up quick. If not it would put me two mouths out. I talked to the Dr about this last time and she said I’m only one person.
Not sure why hey couldn’t reschedule me then when I was on the phone with them, but didn’t care anymore.
Moving on.

Brought my 90 year old mom in for dentures. They were very kind to her and clearly explained everything to me. We are waiting for approval from her insurance and we'll see how it goes from there. I know that years ago Aspen had a very poor reputation. It looks like this office in on the right track to change that opinion. I'll update my review once her dentures are done.

We were seen an hour past our scheduled appointment time. My son let go of the thing he was supposed to bite down on during the X-ray. Instead of trying to get the X-ray again she said it was fine only to be told by the dentist that there was nothing they could do for him because he couldn’t complete the X-ray process. I feel they should have allowed him to try it again. They were rushed because it was lunch time. I did not have a good experience there and would not recommend.

I'm extrememly apprehensive to write a bad review. So many people go online and bash others without jusifiable reasons. I see that some of the workers I interacted with do have genuine care and perhaps even enjoy their jobs. I would like to first say the hygenist (whom I spent about 2 minutes with) was kind and considerate. She explained some issues with my teeth that were small and how to help. No biggy. There was another women who I thought was the hygenist. I'm not familiar because this isn't my area of study. I can tell you that she "numbered" my teeth and that every single tooth fell in the healthy range. She was also kind and even sparked slight interest when I told her that my grandmother is a dentist. Irrelevantly, I only met my dentist grandmother when I was 12 and didnt have insurance so I did recieve free care from her and her team for about 8 years which was amazing and I'm truly thankful. I couldnt return there because I moved here from New Mexico. All of that being said I feel my experience at this Aspen dental deserves to be spoken about. I showed up 20 minutes early, finished paperwork on time and still had to wait 30 minutes plus past my appointment time. Usually I'm understanding of this, however people who treated ME were talking behind the counter as I waited past my time and no one informed me that they were understaffed or anything. I filled out all my paperwork 100% accurately. On there they ask "Could you be pregnant? Are you on birth control?" My personal answers are Yes and No in order. I was completely unaware that they do not allow pregnant women to take xrays (that might be common knowledge to some but not all!). The radiologist was confused by my answer when I said "yes" to the question "Can you be pregnant?". If I wasnt sick and on medication from my immense wisdom tooth pain perhaps I would have done the right thing and opted to skip the xrays. However I just wanted to get better and believed they would help me. After considering the possibility of something unknown happening to a child I could possibly be bearing, my anxiety soared. I hoped with all my soul that I wasn't with child and that if I was it would be protected because I have 0 information on what I should do. I even mentioned to the radiologist that I had no idea I should have taken a pregnancy test before coming in, because if that was asked of me I honestly would have done that no problem. I told her I felt uneasy and had no information and she literally shurgged it off and cleaned up the area before allowing me to see the doctor. Que the doctor. She came in and went over the paperwork. She asked me if I had EVER had gingivitis. Which I believed my answer was yes, you see I have little to zero knowledge in this field because again it's not my area of study. I explained that they told me I had a type of stress induced gingivitis after my grandmother passed away when I was 14. She then asked me if I was flossing regularly back when I got the gingivitis. I couldn't believe how condicending she was being. No I didn't even remember if I was flossing when my grandma died when I was 14 and got gingivitis. She was trying to explain that it was still my fault for not flossing enough when I was 14 and I told her there was absolutely no reason to be condesending over this occurance 6+ years ago. After all that was said and done I didn't qualify to make payments which osnt their fault but also made me wish I just never went in the first place. I would have given one star if not for the flickering moments I saw of genuine care.

FYI: I went to get care after speaking on the phone with them about how sick I am over all 4 wisdom teeth. Fever. Swollen gums, throat pain, immense tooth pain. And expected for them to work with my insurance since they advertise "all insurance accepted" overall I feel like I wasted time and energy for free xrays that I could have just gotten faxed over from the last time I got them when I had 0 chance of pregnancy ~8months ago.

I am completely satisfied with the dentures they made for me. Yes, 1 sore spot which they took care of the next day. These people are professionals. I'm glad I went with them. Two of the people there that worked on me were Dr. sai and DA Rosalba. Dr. Pernapati was the first person that started my dentures. Measurements and so forth. All very good. The office staff were pleasant and knew their job. I'd would do it again.

My first visit to Aspen and I was very pleased. They squeezed me into an appointment on a busy day. The staff, hygienists, assistants, and the dentist, were all fantastic.

I felt extremely nervous and scared. The dentist I saw, Dr. Alvarez was very nice . He explained my options and told me what needed to be done. The only thing I can say that is not a good comment is that they don't participate with government insurance which most people have and I had to leave with no help for my problem. Just an estimate of $7000 worth of dental surgery.

Trisha Jenkins

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and they appeared to be following all COVID guidelines. The only negative I have to say is the wait time both in office and to make another appt is very long. A simple filling couldn’t be squeezed into their schedule for over a year.
