Hawaii Family Dental - Queen Kaahumanu Center

For our dentist appointment with the Dr Alec Nguyen in pediatrics, I am very satisfied. Alec was able to personally communicate with me about procedures and what my son's needs. The assistants and receptionist were thorough, clear, friendly, able to assist as well as answer my questions.

Everyone from the reception desk to the nurses to the doctor are so professional. I am ina wheelchair and the nurse and doctor accommodated themselves so that I wouldn't have to get out of my chair for treatment. On the way out every staff member we passed said hi or how you doing? Never thought I'd ever say this but I love this dentist office

It has been over ten years since my last dental visit so you can imagine all the thoughts that were running through my head. Had a consultation with my dental hygienist and a deep cleaning was suggested. My teeth were really bad and of course we had to numb the area that was being worked on and im glad we did. I had no complications during or after the procedure everything went smoothly each side of my mouth took about an hour. Hawaii family dental provides great service and really strive to make sure that the patient feels comfortable when goin through any procedure. Id like to say thank you and I appreciate all of the hard work each person there provides.

I got my braces there paid it fully after paying it full they took it off for reason that’s i have for so long and my teeth is not even fixed, i waste my 6k to that mean orthodontist

I was recently looking for a dentist, and a friend of mine referred me to Dr. Kelly Wojcicki at Hawaii Family Dental Kahului. I was grateful I took their advice! I went for an annual checkup, and I was impressed by her gentleness, skill, and attention to detail. She also took the time to inform me about various options I have for taking care of my dental issues. I may not look forward to going to the dentist's office, but I'm glad I found a great dentist!

I went in for a routine checkup. Tim was amazing and answered all of my questions. He set me up for success on my next appointment. Also, I was given the gift of working with Aloha. She was awesome and took care of me as if I was the only customer that day. Mahalo everyone. Looking forward to seeing you in 6 months.

Thank you Kahului Hawaii Family Dental for saving my front tooth. Special thanks to Dr Kelly, Ashley, Angelica and the two other assistants for really caring and making me feel like family. Took in a brand new patient with an emergency an hour before closing. Even worked a couple of hours passed it. That act of kindness and pride for their work are real reasons why I still got a full smile. Amazing group of people with phenomenal skills to back it up.

Dr. Keeton was the best possible pediatric dentist. Knowledgeable, patient, and most of all amazing with kids. We couldn't have asked for a better children's dentist. However, he unfortunately moved away from Hawaii recently.

Today we went in for a cleaning and were assigned Dr. Nguyen. Since we had an x-ray last time, we were not expecting any today and prefer to keep radiation exposure as low as possible. However, he was rude & dismissive and said he would not see us without getting x-rays. I asked him, and a manager, if we can just get a cleaning, and we were told no. This is inconsistent with other dentists, as well as previously Dr. Keeton. We didn't get x-rays in our first appointment without an issue, and Dr. Keeton handled our concerns much better.

Secondly, unlike the last few times when we had our own room, this time they wanted to put us in a large room with many other people. I was not comfortable with COVID risk having our daughter maskless with other maskless patients, including a young kid who was sneezing. Inconsistent with schools where masks are still required indoors.

For those 2 reasons, we left and will be going elsewhere. Frustrating experience.

Very Disappointed in HFD's treatment of my emergency.

Because of your survey outreach (interest in your clients/patients treatment), I have taken the liberty of dashing me response to you.

Given that I have your 'Part C' (Dental Plan), I had an emergency on April 1, 2022 at your QKC branch because my front tooth cracked and appeared loose. This branch saw me, took an ex-ray and bonded the loose tooth ... the very next day the tooth, again, became loose despite my effort to only chew food in the back of my mouth--I was charged $200.00 for this procedure.

For this emergency for my next appointment, I was given a consultation date for almost 4 months later, July 21, without any consideration for follow-up and/or fast track. I have been stuck with this loose tooth for almost 4 months now, and it has come out.

What kind of service is this, as big as this dental service is in Hawaii. I am a senior and I receive this terrible service/treatment, initial charge with no satisfaction.
