Always a great experience foe my child and myself. Very friendly and patient staff.

Sat down for an appointment i made to have tooth repaired and started discuss prices and options moving forward. As I am talking to assistant the Dentist (male) got up, sighed, and took a walk-in patient. They then told me he didn't have time anymore and I would have to reschedule a month later. Made an appointment and took off work to be there. Very unprofessional.

To be honest, visiting the dentist was not something I looked forward to until I found "DR. KELLY" (WOJCICKI) She is by far the BEST DENTIST EVER!!! I now actually enjoy going to get my teeth taken care of because she is so kind and gentle. She so was present and her hands were so steady, I was amazed that I did not feel any pain. The fillings she gave me look perfectly natural and feel great.
I actually felt completely at ease in her chair the whole time. In fact I felt so relaxed, I almost fell asleep! I used to get so tense and stressed at my other dentist. I can't believe what a different experience I am now having with Dr Kelly. I highly recommend getting dental work with this exceptionally talented and knowledgeable Dentist. I am very Grateful. Thank You Dr. Kelly!

So I was in a lot of pain from a tooth that needed to be extracted. I did a whole lot of running around trying to find someone who could help me over the weekend.

On Saturday I spoke with someone from Hawai’i Family Dental that explained to me that the do not do same day extractions. And since it has been a while since I last came in that I would need to have my X-ray exam done first and then we could schedule my extraction, which would be a month from now because their extraction appointments were fully booked.

On Sunday Morning, after a failed attempt to get help from another Dental facility I decided to try Hawai’i Family Dental one more time, since I knew that they were the only Dental facility that was open on a Sunday. When I first called the receptionist told me that they did not have any room for any more patients for today (which I totally understood), but that she could fit me in the next day. She mentioned that she was the only one working at the moment, she would talk to the Dr.’s and then she would let me know more.

When I got there and spoke to the receptionist she was very sweet, helpful and professional. The more we talked the more things progressed in my favor to be seen sooner than I though. As she went back and forth from helping me in the front and talking to the Dr in the back, I filled out an updated patient form. It literally went from me not being able to get a same day extraction to picking up my prescriptions at 1pm, to being seen for an exam and getting my prescriptions at 1 pm, to if I was willing to wait for him to finish with his other patients then he could extract it for me that day! I was so ecstatic! Of course I did not mind waiting, I was more than thrilled that they even got to see me today at all, on such short notice.

All the staff, the Dr., his assistant and the receptionist that helped me were all so great and very knowledgeable. They were able to answer any questions or concerns that I had. And they took really great care of me. This was not my first time going to a Hawai’i Family Dental Facility and I have yet to have a bad experience. I am always satisfied when I leave, and I’m so glad that I came in. I only wish I remembered the names of the people who helped me, but I am so terrible at remembering names.

Great experience with my dentist here, Dr. IIdiko Istvan. She has been very informative, takes the time to make sure I’m comfortable, ( she seems to have a painless numbing technique!) keeps me aware of what’s going on with my teeth and makes sure that I am pleased with work she has done.

So far so good. A very pleasant young lady checked me in. It was my first time at the clinic, and I was very nervous, because my teeth are in a deplorable condition. No one shamed me or pressured me. Dr. Matsumoto designed a plan for me, and I felt comfortable with him. Nancy's cleanings were very thorough, and I was so relieved that she gave me the option to have an injection for the deep cleaning phase. I'm looking forward to gradually addressing my dental issues at this clinic.

My second visit yesterday went great. Dr. Matsumoto is very kind, and he explains what's happening. His humble, yet confident manner puts me at ease. The hygienist was very sweet. All the Staff whom I interacted with was friendly and professional. I'm clear on what dental Care is needed, and it has to be done in increments because of my senior budget, yet no one over-pressures me. I'm very pleased with the fillings that were done yesterday, and I'm looking forward to future care at the Clinic.

The staff from the front desk, to my hygienist, and my dentist and his assistant was professional, friendly, and very efficient. And the fact that they worked me into a few Sundays were perfect because that is the only day off I have from work that allows me to get my dental work done. If this service doesn't deserve a 5, I don't know what will. Thanks Hawaii Family Dental Kahului, you guys are totally Rock Stars!!!!

Since I lost a crown, I needed to find a dentist rather quickly, so I called my insurance provider who sent over a list of dentists. Unfortunately, most were either in Kihei or at the Hawaii Family Dental Office in Kahului (I live in Lahaina). They were able to give me an appointment within 2 days. However, when I arrived, they said my appointment was 30 minutes earlier (I had a text to prove otherwise) and they weren't sure that they could still take me, but asked me to fill out the papers. 15 min. later, they told me that the dentist could see me, but asked for my credit card which I provided with my insurance card, even though they could not tell me how much it would be ...the young Dr who saw me was friendly at 1st, but after looking at the X-Ray, she said she couldn't do anything until she worked on the tooth next to the one I came in for. She also told me that she couldn't save the tooth and might to extract the one next to it. Once I asked questions, she became unfriendly and told her assistant "we are done here". Even though I was in distress, I left (after paying for my visit). I called the office the next day and asked about my options (2nd opinion from another dentist?) and they gave me none. Since I felt that it was an emergency, I took another appointment and told the Dr that I would agree for her to work on the 2nd tooth. Once she did, she confirmed that it would be best to extract both teeth. I reluctantly agreed and she suggested implants, but I would need bone graft, then she ordered a temporary device. She never asked me to take a follow-up appointment to make sure that everything was ok. By the time I realized that it wasn't, I had to travel for work and went to see another dentist who told me that the bone graft was not done correctly and I would need to have it done again to avoid an infection. Needless to say I would NOT recommend this Hawaii Family Dental office in Kahului. Not customer oriented at all. You don't have the feeling that they care about their patients.

My second visit to the clinic went very well. The hygienist was very sweet, and Dr. Matsumoto kept me informed during the process of fillings. He is very kind, positive, respectful, and confident, which puts me at ease. I’m looking forward to future visits, which need to be done in increments, due to my Senior budget. I appreciate that no one over-pressures me. I find the Staff to be friendly and professional.

They are amazing!
Super talented and knowledgeable, totally pain free experience. It’s rare to find such professionals who are completely wonderful to talk with. The procedure was fast, clean and pleasant.
They fixed a botched job from another local dentist, who attempted to repair a broken tooth that was still causing pain.
After my visit I’m pain free and they even aligned my bite.
I’ve never had such a great Dental experience.
